Meghalaya NEET PG Counselling 2024 round-1 was held in hybrid, both online and offline mode on November 26, 2024. Those who had to participate in online mode had to inform the authorities in advance. Those who participated in offline mode had to report at sharp 9 am at Directors' conference room. Seats were allotted based on NEET PG mark, quota and other factors. North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) Meghalaya conducts counselling for seat allotment. The application form for Meghalaya PG medical admission 2024 was released online on September 13, 2024. Candidates had to download the application form for Meghalaya NEET 2024 and duly filed form had to be submitted either by post or by dropping in the box placed outside the Examination Cell, Director’s Block, NEIGRIHMS. The application fee of INR 1,500 must be submitted by challan along with the application form for Meghalaya NEET PG Counselling 2024. Candidates had to enter details such as name, NEET PG 2024 roll numer, mobile number, All India Rank etc in the application form.
Those who qualify NEET PG with the minimum cut off and having state domicile are eligible for admission to different medical colleges in the state. Based on registration, NEET PG marks, and other criteria, a merit list is released. The merit list comprises the list of candidates eligible for the offline counselling for Meghalaya NEET PG. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for admission for MD/MS and Diploma courses in state medical colleges.
Meghalaya NEET PG Admission Eligibility
Candidates should fulfill certain requirements for Meghalaya NEET PG admission. Some of the eligibility criteria for Meghalaya NEET PG admission are given below:

They should have domicile of one of the 8 North-eastern states of India including Sikkim

Meghalaya NEET PG Counselling: The Process
Candidates will have to apply offline for Meghalaya NEET PG counselling. The application form will be released online on the official website. Based on the registration and NEET PG score, a merit list will be released. Merit list comprises the list of eligible candidates for the counselling. These candidates have to appear for the offline counselling for seat allocation. Each steps of counselling has been explained below:
Application Form for Meghalaya PG Medical Admission

Prospectus cum application form will be released on the official website, neigrihms.gov.in. Candidates have to download the application along with the prospectus.

Duly application form can be dropped in a box placed outside the Examination Cell, Director’s Block, NEIGRIHMS or sent by Post addressed to “Examination Cell, NEIGRIHMS, Director’s Block, P.O. – Mawdiangdiang, Shillong.

The application fee of INR 1,500 plus charges must be deposited by the challan. Preserve a copy of Challan as the proof for payment of application fee.

Candidates must submit relevant documents along with the application from including NEET PG score card, admit card, 10th certificate etc.
Merit List
Candidates who want to apply for NEIGRIHMS seats have to submit NEET PG admit card and NEET PG scorecard in the Institute’s system first. On the basis of the data provided by the candidates, a merit list will be released. Candidates included in the merit list will be called for Meghalaya NEET PG counselling in order of merit. They can exercise their respective choice of subject according to merit and availability of seats.
Offline Counselling
A total of 3 rounds of counselling will be held for seat allocation including mop up round. Meghalaya NEET PG counselling will be held offline. Candidates will have to appear physically at the Office of the Director, NEIGRIHMS Shillong on the said date. They should carry the original certificates while participating in the counselling rounds. Seats will be allotted based on merit and fulfillment of eligibility. Candidates who will be allotted seat need to conform and deposit the fees on the same day once counselling gets over.
