Salient Features of the West Bengal NEET Counselling
After the announcement of the NEET Counselling result and the release of the cut-off list for the Medical and Dental colleges across West Bengal, the counselling process for West Bengal NEET counselling will begin. The West Bengal NEET counselling will be held in multiple rounds such as Round 1, Round 2, and Round 3 (if the seats are left vacant). After completing West Bengal NEET counselling round-wise, various institutes will tentatively conduct their college-level counselling to fill the remaining vacant seats (if any).Â
To participate in the WB NEET counselling 2024, the first step will be to enroll by filling the WB counselling registration form which will be made available online by the counselling conducting body on the official website. The West Bengal NEET counselling applications will be available at the Department of Health & Family Welfare (DHFW), Kolkata. lt only be considered and accepted after the payment of the registration fee. After successfully submitting the NEET counselling registration form, the conducting body will release the list of the registered candidates whose applications will be accepted.
The candidates whose names will be on the list will have to report to the document verification centres if needed; otherwise, verification will be done online. After the document verification process, the candidates have to fill their choice of colleges priority-wise. A provisional merit list of shortlisted candidates will be released for the first round of seat allotment. After this, the subsequent counselling rounds will take place depending upon the cutoff and availability of seats.

Such candidate must apply in person before the admitted college for seat surrender and must receive the server generated Seat surrender letter. The seat surrender is not allowed from Round 3 counseling any further till the counseling process is over. The seat surrender with payment of bond penalty is possible only after the counseling of all rounds is over for the current academic year.
