GPAT 2020, the national level pharmacy entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates for the exam. The registration for the GPAT 2020 will begin on 1 November 2019 and aspirants can register on the official site. GPAT 2020 is a three-hour computer-based online test which is conducted in a single session.

Eligibility Criteria for GPAT 2020
Eligibility criteria are the minimum requirement the candidates should possess before filling the GPAT 2020 application form. Below are the eligibility criteria for GPAT 2020

- The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- The applicant must be a Bachelor's degree holder in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates).
- Those who are in the final year of B. Pharmacy course are also eligible for appearing in GPAT exam.
- B. Tech (Pharmaceutical and fine chemical technology) / Equivalent Students are not eligible for GPAT examination.
- There is no upper and lower age limit prescribed for GPAT 2020.
Pre-requisites for GPAT 2020
Candidates can register for GPAT2020 via online mode only. While filling the online application form, the candidates are expected to keep the following pre-requisites in place. Below is the list of important documents and information for GPAT 2020
- Complete qualification details with marks obtained
- Passport size photograph scanned in JPG/JPEG format and size between 10 kb to 200 kb
- Scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format and size between 4 kb to 30 kb
- For communication purpose, a valid email ID is required
- To share information via SMS a valid mobile number is mandatory
- A valid credit/debit card or Net banking details for fee payment is required
GPAT 2020 step-by-step registration process
The candidates have to follow several steps while filling the GPAT 2020 application form. Aspirants should refer to the step-by-step process for filling the GPAT 2020 application form mentioned below
STEP 1: Apply for online registration
- Visit the official website of GPAT 2020, ntagpat.nic.in
- Applicants are required to register first because only the registered candidates can sign in to fill the GPAT 2020 application form
- After signing in, the applicants are advised to download the information bulletin for GPAT 2020.
- After downloading the information bulletin applicants should fill in basic details like name, parents' names, date of birth, gender, address, Email ID, Aadhaar number (or any other identity proof) and mobile number
- Generate a new password and choose a security question and answer it
- The applicants can now hit the 'Submit' button after entering the security pin
- To verify the details entered by the applicants a confirmation page will appear mentioning all the details applicants have entered
- The candidates should edit, verify and confirm the declaration by clicking on 'Edit Registration Form' or 'Final Submit', whichever applies in their case
- After the final submission, another window notifying the completion of the GPAT 2020 registration process will be displayed
- A unique 12-digit application number will be flashed and the same will be shared with the candidates via email and SMS. Click on the 'Complete Application Form' button and proceed for the next step
STEP 2: Fill the Online Application Form
- A new window will be opened and some details will be auto-filled from the previous window provided by the candidates. The applicant is required to fill the rest of the details such as category and nationality.
- The candidates should choose GPAT 2020 as the choice of exam. The applicants can choose from four exam cities according to their preference and convenience. The allotment of exam centres will be done on the basis of these selections.
- The applicants are now required to fill the qualification details including the result status, name of exam and university, year of passing/ appearing and marks
- Click on the ‘Submit’ button after entering the case sensitive security pin
- Cross-check the filled information and select the verification parameters accordingly by tick marking
- Tick mark on 'I agree' and click on the 'Final Submit' button. Applicants who wish to edit the information they had provided can edit by clicking on 'Edit Application Form data'
- A new window will appear, displaying the application number will notify the applicant about the completion of Step 2 of the application form. Applicants can edit the information they had provided by clicking on 'Edit Application Form' if not can proceed to 'Upload Images'.
STEP 3: Upload Scanned Files
- The applicants are required to upload their photograph as per the specifications mentioned in the upload scanned section of the tab. The image should either be colored or black and white, having clear sharpness and contrast. The image file size should be between 10KB to 200KB in JPG/JPEG format only.
- The applicants have to upload a scanned copy of their signature and the file size should range between 4KB to 30KB in JPG/JPEG format
- Every applicant should ensure the correctness of the uploaded images and their size and format
- Now, click on the 'Upload' button after entering the security pin and tick marking the declaration
- A window notifying the completion of Step-3 will be displayed along with the amount of application fee, the applicants are required to pay (depending upon their category).
- The applicants can now click on any one button-'Edit Application Form', 'Pay Examination Fee' and 'Edit Uploaded Images' displaying at the bottom of the screen depending upon their application status.
STEP 4: Application fee payment
- The applicants are now required to pay the fee via online mode (Debit/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ E-Challan)
- The applicants can choose from various payment providers and the mode of payment
- The applicants can now pay the application fee for GPAT 2020, fee for different categories for the application are mentioned below in the table

- At last, a window notifying the completion of the application process will appear and applicants can now download the 'Confirmation Page' by clicking the button on the left side of the window. If any applicant cannot download the confirmation page, then it may imply that their application form or payment is not completed.
STEP 5: Selection of Examination City
- Candidates have to select the desired state and city for GPAT 2020 examination as their choice of centre which will be allotted on 'first come- first served' basis
What to expect after applying for GPAT 2020?
After the successful submission of the application of GPAT 2020, the applicants have to wait till December 24, 2019, for the admit cards which will be issued by NTA. It is important to note that applicants who have submitted the duly filled form on or before the stipulated time will be able to download the admit card from the official website. Admit card is the most mandatory thing the applicants are required to carry with them on the day of exam otherwise they will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
