As per previous year trends, GPAT 2025 exam will be conducted in June, 2025. The morning shift of GPAT 2025 is generally conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and the forenoon shift will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Q: Why appear for the GPAT exam?
Candidates are required to keep a check on the following things before appearing for the GPAT 2024 exam :
- Candidates must thoroughly check all the details and information printed on the GPAT 2024 admit card to avoid any confusion. TheGPAT 2024 admit card has the following details mentioned on it:
- Candidate’s name
- Centre address
- Reporting time at the exam centre
- Centre gate closing time
- Exam date
- Test and shift timing
- Candidates are advised to make themselves familiar with the exact location of the exam centre by visiting the same a day before the exam or by leaving early on the exam day.
- Aspirants must try to reach the exam centre at the specified reporting time printed on the GPAT 2024 Admit Card. Candidates failing to reach the exam centre on time will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. NTA has also asked the officials to conduct a pre-examination check before the commencement of the examination hence, the candidates must reach the centre on time.
- If any aspirant reports after the gate closing time of the exam centre, they will not be allowed to enter the test centre. All the instructions have been issued for strict compliance. Several pre-examination formalities need to be done and therefore candidates are advised to reach the centre on or before time.
- Candidates should carry the below-mentioned documents at the centre on the day of the exam:
- GPAT 2024 Admit Card downloaded from the official NTA website (a clear visible colour printout on an A4 size sheet).
- One Passport size photograph (same as uploaded with the Online Application Form) is to be pasted on the Attendance Sheet at the Centre.
- ID cards issued by Schools/ colleges/ universities/ coaching centres, aadhar enrollment receipt without aadhar number and photocopies or Images stored in mobile phones etc will NOT be accepted (Note: No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre, without identity verification).
- A valid photo ID proof in original (PAN card/ driving license/ voter ID/passport/ aadhaar card (With photograph)/E- aadhaar/ration card/ bank passbook with Photograph).
- Person with disability (PwD) certificate issued by the competent authority, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category. PwD candidates are required to report early at the centre so that arrangements can be made on time.
Instructions to be Followed Inside the GPAT 2024 Exam Hall

All the candidates will have to go through the temperature checks using the IR thermometer while entering the exam centre and their hands and belongings will be sanitized accordingly
- All the candidates have to follow social distancing norms and no candidates will be allowed to enter the centre without face masks

Frisking using the Handheld Metal Detector (HHMD), will be done without a physical touch while entering the GPAT 2024 exam hall.

Blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided to all the candidates

Aspirants have to write their name and roll number legibly at the top of each sheet(s) and must submit them at the drop box without fail, before leaving the room

No candidate will be allowed to leave the GPAT 2024 exam hall before the completion of the exam
Prohibited Items at the GPAT Exam Centre
- Any kind of paper/stationary/textual material (printed or written material)
- Eatables and water (loose or packed)
- Mobile phone/earphone/microphone/pager
- Any instrument/geometry/pencil box
- Handbag
- Purse
- Smartwatch/calculator/ docu-pen/ slide rule/log tables/camera/tape recorder
- Any metallic item or electronic gadget
Note: There will be no provision at the centre to store candidates’ valuables.
All the aspirants will be given a pen/pencil and blank sheets for rough work inside the exam hall. The candidates have to submit the rough sheets after completing the exam to the invigilator with their name and roll number at the top along with the admit card.
Aspirants have to provide all the required details in the attendance sheet in clear writing along with their left-hand thumb impression, signature and passport-size photograph to be pasted on the space provided. Candidates should ensure that their left-hand thumb impressions are smudge-free.
Aspirants are advised to follow all the instructions during the examination and should not indulge in any kind of unfair practices. Any candidate found doing such activities his/her exam will be cancelled without any notice.

Last year, the GPAT exam was conducted in two-time slots. In the previous year, the GPAT exam was conducted in the morning slot only from 9 AM to 12 PM. the afternoon/forenoon slot was held from 02:30 P.M. to 05:30 P.M at the physical test centres in computer-based format.
