Seat allotment result for Punjab NEET 2024 round-3 counselling was announced on October 18, 2024. The  result PDF was uploaded online by Baba Farid Unversity of Health Sciences (BFUHS). Candidates will have to download the result from the official website, bfuhs.ac.in. Candidates allotted seats in round-2 counselling had to report physically for document verification till October 23, 2024.

Registration for Punjab NEET 2024 counselling round-3 was started on October 8, 2024. Deadline to complete registration for round-3 counselling was October 10, 2024. Registration could be done at the official website, bfuhs.ac.in. A merit list was released on October 11, 2024. Candidates included in the merit list had to declare choices for round-3 Punjab NEET 2024 counselling from October 12 to October 14, 2024.

It must be noted qualifying NEET 2024 is a mandatory criterion for Punjab NEET 2024 counselling. The counselling is being held by BFUHS for allotment of 85% state quaota seats.

Punjab NEET UG counselling is held in two rounds. However, the second round will only be conducted if any seats are left vacant after the first round of Punjab NEET counselling. A candidate who has qualified NEET 2024 and got domicile of Punjab can apply for the state quota seats of Punjab. Candidates must note that the applications for the counselling of Punjab NEET 2024 will be accepted in online mode only. Applications submitted offline or through email will not be accepted. During counselling, candidates have to declare choice for college and course and lock them. Based on choice submitted by candidate, seats availablity, NEET 2024 scores, seats will be allotted for Punjab MBBS/BDS admission 2024. Q:   Who will conduct the admission process for MBBS seats in Punjab?

A:

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot will be conducting admission process for MBBS seats in Punjab. Candidates who will qualify NEET with the minimum cut off will be eligible to participate in the counselling process for seat allotment. It must be noted the counselling will be held for allotment of 85% seats across the medical colleges in the state. Candidates will have to register on the official website and submit application form for seat allotment.

No. Candidates had to submit online application form to participate in Punjab NEET counselling. Offline or any other mode of application form for Punjab MBBS admission was not accepted. Register using mobile number and email ID and enter details such as name, father’s name, category, quota, NEET 2024 marks, etc. to complete the application form.

Punjab NEET 2024 Counselling Eligibility

Candidates who wish to apply for Punjab NEET counselling 2024 are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before registering online. Ineligible candidates will not be considered for the seat allotment process and the counselling fee paid by them will be forfeited. The eligibility criteria for Punjab NEET counselling is as follows:

  • Candidates must have qualified NEET 
  • They must have registered for Punjab seat allotment process
  • Domicile of the state of Punjab is must
  • They must be at least 17 year old as on the date mentioned in the official brochure

Punjab NEET 2024 Counselling Process

Admission to the MBBS and BDS seats that fall under the 85% state quota will be through Punjab NEET counselling 2024. Candidates who qualify NEET 2024 will have to register themselves on the official website of BFUHS. After completing the registration process, they will have to submit their course and college preferences online. Based on these choices, BFUHS will prepare the seat allotment list. The steps involved in Punjab NEET 2024 counselling have been elaborated below:

Step 1: Registration

To participate in Punjab NEET counselling 2024, it is mandatory for the candidate to register on the official website of BFUHS. Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated timeframe will not be eligible for Punjab NEET 2024 counselling.

  1. Go to the official website of bfuhs.ac.in
  2. Register using mobile number and email ID
  3. Enter details such as name, father’s name, preference of course, college, category, quota, NEET 2024 marks, etc.
  4. Complete the application form
  5. Note down the registration ID and password for future reference

Step 2: Depositing the registration/application fee for Punjab NEET counselling

  • The application fee for the Punjab NEET 2024 counselling has to be paid online
  • The application fee can be paid using credit card/debit card/net banking
  • If a candidate fails to deposit the application fee for Punjab NEET 2024 counselling, their application will not be considered

Step 3: State Merit List

BFUHS will prepare a state merit list and will upload it on the official website of the institute. The merit list will include only those candidates who had registered themselves on the official website of BFUHS. Apart from the state ranking, a candidate will also be ranked on the basis of the category that he/she belongs to.

Step 4: Institutional preferences

Next step in the counselling process of Punjab NEET is to choose the college/institute of preference. Candidates need to login into their registered accounts and choose from the choices provided. The seats will be allocated to the candidates based on the choices filled in this stage; hence, a candidate must choose the options wisely.

Step 5: Seat allocation list

Next, a seat allocation list will be prepared by BFUHS. This list will be prepared on the basis of the choices filled by the candidates and their state merit. The seat allotment list will also be available on the official website of the institute.

Step 6: Reporting to the allocated institute

Candidates who make it to the seat allotment list of Punjab NEET counselling 2024 will have to report to the allocated institute for verification of their documents. After the verification of the documents and the eligibility of the applicant, the head of the institute will issue a bank challan for the deposition of the fee.

  1. Certificate of Class 10/birth certificate (as proof of age)
  2. Marksheet of Class 11 (as a proof that the candidate had studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English)
  3. Marksheet of Class 12 (verification of eligibility)
  4. Punjab resident certificate
  5. Caste certificate (if applicable)
  6. Exemption certificate (if applicable)
  7. EWS certificate (if applicable)
  8. Certificate issued by the head of the institution certifying that the candidate has completed Class 10 and Class 12 from their institute
  9. Sworn declaration by the parent
  10. Sworn declaration by the candidate
  11. Affidavit by the parent/guardian stating that the candidate has not applied for the counselling of any other state(s)

Step 7: Depositing the tuition fee

The last step is to deposit the tuition fee in the bank. Candidates have to deposit the tuition fee online. Candidates can refer to the table below to know the fee structure of the medical/dental colleges in Punjab.
