The Rajasthan NEET UG 2024 counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round result was declared on November 29, 2024. The admission fee had to be paid online by December 3, 2024, 5 PM. The institute reporting process was conducted from November 29 to December 4, 2024, 9 AM to 5 PM. As many as four candidates were allotted seats in this round.

As per the seat matrix, there were four MBBS seats in the Management Quota. One seat was there in GMC Alwar, and three seats were there in Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences, Udaipur.

This is likely to be the last and final round of Rajasthan NEET 2024 counselling. In case of vacant seats after the institute reporting process, further rounds may be announced.

Rajasthan NEET counselling 2024 is being conducted for the 85 per cent state quota seats for admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered in Rajasthan. The counselling process for Rajasthan NEET UG 2024 counselling is completely online, except for the physical verification after the registration, and the last stage, which involves institute reporting and document verification. There will be approximately five to six rounds of counselling. 

Only those candidates who qualified for NEET 2024 (as per the final scorecard where cutoff marks is reduced by two points for each category) by scoring the NEET cutoff marks are eligible to participate in the counselling process for Rajasthan NEET UG 2024.

 

Q:   Which courses are offered through Rajasthan NEET counselling process?

A:

The Rajasthan NEET counselling process is conducted for two courses, MBBS and BDS. While announcing the Rajasthan NEET counselling process, the counselling authorities will release the list of MBBS and BDS participating institutes, along with the seat matrix. Based on that, participants will have to fill and lock their choices.

The Rajasthan NEET 2024 counselling dates were announced by authorities on August 16, 2024, and the registration process began on the same date. The Round 1 of the Rajasthan NEET counselling 2024 has been announced, which concluded on September 5, 2024. The Rajasthan NEET 2024 counselling Round 2 commenced on September 8, 2024, with the registration process, which was reopened on September 14, 2024. The second round concluded on October 5, 2024. The Round 3 of Rajasthan NEET 2024 counselling was conducted from October 8 to October 23, 2024. The fourth or the Stray Vacancy round is scheduled from October 24 to November 5, 2024.

Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Rajasthan NEET UG counselling are given below:

  • Candidates must be Indian citizens and should belong to Rajasthan state domicile

  • They must have appeared and qualified for NEET 

  • They must be of minimum 17 years of age as of the last date of the year

  • They must have passed the Class 12 Board exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects with an aggregate of 50 per cent for General category candidates and 40 per cent and 45 per cent for reserved category and unreserved Physically Challenged category candidates respectively

  • For the registration for Round 2 onwards, only those who have not joined the allotted institutes, or have not been allotted any seat will be eligible to participate.

NEET 2024 Cutoff or Qualifying Marks

Q:   Can students from other states participate in the Rajasthan NEET counselling?

A:

Yes, candidates belonging to other states apart from Rajasthan are also eligible to participate in the Rajasthan NEET UG counselling process. However, while filling the registration form for Rajasthan NEET UG counselling, they must not select the Rajasthan domicile category. Only those belonging to this state should select the state domicile category. Rest of the candidates may select the NRI category or other than Rajasthan state category and provide the documents accordingly.

Q:   Can students participate in state level and national level NEET counselling process simultaneously?

A:

Yes, candidates can participate in both the national level NEET counselling for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats and the 85 per cent State Quota seats. However, if a candidate has already joined an institute, then he or she will no longer be eligible to participate in other state/national level counselling. Moreover, they will also not be eligible to participate for the next round of NEET state counselling once they join an institute.

Registration dates and processes for the Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2024 are announced on the official website. Candidates have to proceed further and fill the Rajasthan NEET counselling 2024 registration form. Refer to the steps given below to fill the application form for Rajasthan NEET counselling 2024:

  • Visit the official website of Rajasthan NEET 2024 counselling - www.rajugneet2024.org 
  • Click on the ‘Application Part-I’ link or directly enter https://rajugneet2024.org/registration/discl.aspx#!

  • Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘I Agree’ to proceed

  • Enter the NEET roll number, date of birth, marks obtained, category and validate

  • The registration credentials will be generated

  • Visit the home page and click on ‘Application – Part 2’ or enter https://rajugneet2024.org/registration/reg_part2.aspx

  • Enter the Registration ID and Password and click on ‘Login’

Depositing the registration fee:

  • Candidates who wish to participate in the Rajasthan NEET counselling 2024 for admission to the MBBS courses must pay a registration fee.
  • The application fee is INR 2,500 for General category candidates and INR 1,500 for SC, ST, ST-STA category candidates.

Declaration of State Merit List

After the Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2024 registration, the counselling authority will release the state merit list. This will include the list of eligible candidates for the Rajasthan NEET UG counselling 2024. The Rajasthan NEET UG counselling 2024 merit list will include the names, Roll Number, All India Rank and State Rank of qualifying candidates. 

Choice filling:

Document verification and confirmation of admission:

To confirm the admission, the candidate has to report to SMS College, Jaipur/ allocated college, for document verification. If a candidate fails to report during the time allowed, their admission will be cancelled.

Q:   What is the registration fee for Rajasthan NEET counselling?

A:

To participate in the counselling of Rajasthan NEET 2024, candidates will have to pay a non-refundable registration fee of INR 2,500 for the General category and INR 1,500 for those belonging to SC/ST category and have a domicile of Rajasthan. The registration fee amount mentioned here is that of last year. This year, the registration fee amount may change.

Q:   When will the Rajasthan NEET UG counselling 2024 seat matrix release?

A:

RUHS Jaipur, or the counselling authorities releases the seat matrix for Rajasthan NEET UG 2024 counselling before each round. Separate seat matrix is released for MBBS and BDS courses. The seat matrix is released a day before the commencement of the choice filling process. Based on the course-wise seat availability, candidates will have to fill and lock the choices.  The Round 1 seat matrix was released on August 25, 2024.

Q:   Is there a provision for upgradation of seats after the first round of Rajasthan NEET UG counselling?

Yes, after the declaration of the Rajasthan NEET counselling seat allotment result, candidates will be given the option to upgrade the seat choice. Q:   How many rounds of counselling will be conducted for Rajasthan NEET UG admissions?

A:

There will be approximately four rounds of Rajasthan NEET UG counselling. The total number of rounds will depend on the number of vacant seats. There is also a possibility that the counselling authorities will conduct separate counselling round for a particular course, MBBS or BDS if seats are left vacant.

Q:   Which medical colleges have management quota seats in Rajasthan for the Rajasthan NEET counselling process?

A:

All the non-government institutions have management quota seats. A few colleges with management quota seats are Geetanjali Medical College, Jaipur National University, NIMS, Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences, and Ananta Institute of Medical Sciences.

Q:   Can I change my preferences of colleges and courses during the Rajasthan NEET counselling process?

A:

Yes, it is possible to change the preferred colleges or courses during the Rajasthan NEET counselling process, during the choice filling round. Once the choices are locked or submitted, candidates will not be able to change the preferences. However, candidates can changes their college and course choices in the next rounds of counselling based on the seat availability, as well as their preference.

For this year, the Stray Vacancy Round Choice Filling process is already closed.

Also, it is not always beneficial to wait for a stray vacancy. 

As seats of most of the good colleges are allotted, maximum by the second round. And, the chances are very rare that you would get a decent college.
