1,977 students conferred during NIT Trichy 18th convocation ceremony
38 BArch, 881 BTech, 21 MArch, 572 MTech, 92 MSc, 110 MCA, 96 MBA, 20 MA, 16 MS (research) students, and 131 doctorates were awarded the degrees at the convocation ceremony.
NIT Trichy 18th Convocation: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy conferred degrees to a total of 1,977 students who graduated technology institute. NIT Trichy 18th convocation was conducted on Saturday, August 6, 2022. In all, 38 BArch, 881 BTech, 21 MArch, 572 MTech, 92 MSc, 110 MCA, 96 MBA, 20 MA, 16 MS (research) students, and 131 doctorates were awarded the degrees at the 18th convocation ceremony of NIT Trichy.
Shyam Srinivasan, managing director and chief executive officer of Federal Bank attended the event as the chief guest. Shyam urged the graduates to focus on BRAND (belief, relevance, authenticity, negotiating challenges, and delivery). Quoting the careers of Jeremy Lalrinnunga, A P J Abdul Kalam and Sachin Tendulkar to Dabbawalas of Mumbai as examples for inspiration, he said, “Life may not serve you with equality but once you build your equity, it’ll be about you and your BRAND alone.”
Chairperson Bhaskar Bhat commended NIT-T for inculcating the start-up culture along with its push for cutting-edge research. In her report, NIT-T director G Aghila underlined the infrastructural growth taking place at NIT-T. Smart classrooms, new annex buildings and hostels were being established, adding 60,000 square metre over the next two years. She appreciated the administration and the faculty for successfully transitioning from virtual to physical mode of teaching. She outlined the achievements of the institute reflected in the recent national institutional ranking framework (NIRF) rankings.
NIT Trichy Online MTech Programme
For the convenience of working professionals, NIT-Trichy has recently launched MTech (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science). The MTech programme will be offered via online mode in line with National Education Policy 2020.
