Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have decided to bring back the pre-pandemic Class 12 performance criterion for admissions for the upcoming academic year. The premier engineering institutes had dropped the Class 12 board examination performance criteria as a relaxation in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories needed to secure a minimum of 65 per cent marks or fulfil the top 20 percentile demand.
