JEE Mains Result 2024: Now, that the session 1 JEE Mains 2024 results have been declared, all the qualified candidates for the JEE Advanced 2024 should begin their preparation. This time, IIT Madras will conduct JEE Advanced 2024 in computer-based test (CBT) mode on May 26. For Indian nationals, JEE Advanced registration will start on April 21, 2024 and on April 15 for foreign nationals. 

IIT Madras has released the information brochure, JEE Advanced 2024 syllabus and schedule already. The JEE Advanced is a competitive exam that requires a deep understanding of concepts to solve problems efficiently. 

How to prepare for JEE Advanced 2024? 

Here are some steps and tips to help candidates in preparing effectively:

  • Understand the Exam Pattern and Syllabus: All the qualified candidates must familiarize themselves with the exam pattern and syllabus for JEE Advanced. They have to cover a wide range of topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Understanding the JEE Advanced syllabus and paper pattern in detail is important for preparation.
  • Preparing a Study Plan and Allocate Time Wisely: They must divide their study plan into subject: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Allocate more time to subjects or topics where they need improvement. Make a timetable that covers all the subjects, giving more time to topics or subjects they find challenging. Also, break down preparation into manageable tasks and set short-term and long-term goals. 
  • Study from the Right Material: Choose the right books and study materials. Start with NCERT textbooks for understanding the basics, and then move on to other recommended books for JEE Advanced like H.C. Verma for Physics, O.P. Tandon for Chemistry, and M.L. Khanna for Mathematics. There are numerous online platforms offering quality study materials, video lectures, and practice questions specifically designed for JEE Advanced preparation.
  • Solve previous years' questions papers: This will help candidates in understanding the exam pattern, difficulty level, and type of questions asked in the exam. It also helps in time management.
  • Take JEE Adcanced mock tests: Regularly taking full-length mock tests under exam-like conditions is crucial. Analyse performance in these tests to identify weak areas and improve on them. Solving a wide variety of problems will enhance your analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Revise regularly: Make revision an integral part of your study plan. Regular revision helps in retaining information and clearing doubts. While studying, prepare short notes for each topic, including key concepts, formulas, and important points. These notes are very useful for quick revision before the exam.
  • Stay Healthy and Manage Stress: They must get enough sleep, eat healthily, and exercise regularly to keep their mind and body fit. Practice relaxation techniques like meditation to manage stress and anxiety.
