IGNOU Jan Admission 2024: The School of Foreign Languages at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched the Master of Arts in Spanish (MASL) programme. Interested candidates can apply for IGNOU MA in Spanish online at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in for the January cycle. As per IGNOU, the curriculum also includes practical modules such as translation studies, interpretation, and linguistics.

This programme has been developed to provide an in-depth knowledge of Hispanic culture, history and literature providing students with the knowledge to comprehend current developments in the region. After completion of the MASL programme, the candidates will have the proficiency to articulate and explain various facets of Hispanic cultures.

Who is eligible to apply for the IGNOU MA in Spanish Programme? 

IGNOU has also laid down certain eligibility requirements that the candidates applying for this course must meet. They can check the IGNOU eligibility criteria to apply for MA in Spanish Programme: 

• They must have a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from a recognised university/institution. It could be either an Indian University or abroad
• Also, those who have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, supplemented by a B1 level of language competence in Spanish (as per CEFR) or an Advanced Diploma of Proficiency in Spanish from a recognised institution/university can apply
