IIM Shillong signs MoU with MYC for human resource development in Mizoram
The MoU was signed between IIM Shillong Director Professor DP Goyal and MYC Chairman Dr Vanlaltanpuia, in the presence of various officials.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research and Analysis, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong, and Mizoram Youth Commission (MYC) have collaborated by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement has been signed in a bid to advance human resource development in Mizoram by helping organisations to create curricula, plan courses, and build capability.

According to an official statement shared by the institute, the MoU was signed between IIM Shillong Director Professor DP Goyal and MYC Chairman Dr Vanlaltanpuia, in the presence of various officials.
Following the agreement, a meeting was also held, which was attended by Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga.
While sharing his thoughts over the agreement and signing of the MoU, the IIM Shillong Director said, “IIM Shillong is dedicated to fostering cutting-edge knowledge, a vision of expansion, and the mobilization of infrastructure for providing high-quality management education and research in the North Eastern area of India, it is a great pleasure to be cooperating with (MYC), Government of Mizoram.”
IIM Shillong aims to assist Mizoram government
Under this agreement, the b-school will play a major role in the development of Mizoram. It may be mentioned that IIM Shillong aims to support Mizoram’s human resource development, assist the Mizoram government and MYC in particular in identifying skill gaps, offer capacity-building programmes for government employees, and support Mizoram’s economic development by encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship in promising industries.
