URAT PG 2025 Results

The URATPG result 2025 will tentatively be released in July 2025, on its official website - admissions.univraj.org. However, before publishing the scores of candidates in URATPG, the university released the answer key for candidates to clarify their doubts. After this, candidates need to submit their doubts as per the prescribed format and stipulated time duration. Candidates would be able to check their qualifying status in URATPG 2025 after entering login details on the page.

Q:   How are the URATPG results calculated?

A:

The exact method for calculating URATPG (University of Rajasthan Admission Test for Postgraduate Courses) results can vary from year to year and may depend on the specific postgraduate programme for which you are appearing. However, the general process for calculating URATPG results typically involves the following steps:

1. Scoring System: The examination authorities establish a scoring system for the URATPG exam. This system may include assigning marks or scores to each correct answer and possibly deducting marks for incorrect answers (negative marking), depending on the exam's design.

2. Raw Scores: Your raw scores are calculated based on the number of correct answers you provided in each section or subject of the exam. If there is negative marking, any incorrect answers may result in a deduction of marks.

3. Normalization (if applicable): In some cases, when the exam is conducted in multiple sessions or shifts, a process called normalization may be applied. Normalization is used to ensure fairness in cases where the difficulty level of different shifts of the exam varies. It involves adjusting scores to account for these variations.

4. Percentile Score: Your percentile score is calculated based on your raw scores and the performance of other candidates who took the same exam. The percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates who scored lower than you.

5. Overall Rank: Your overall rank is determined based on your percentile score and the performance of all candidates in the exam. This rank indicates your relative position among all the candidates who appeared for the URATPG exam.

6. Subject-wise Rank (if applicable): If you appeared for multiple subjects or programmes, subject-wise ranks may be calculated similarly to the overall rank, but within each subject or programme.

7. Qualification Status: Based on the percentile score and subject-wise ranks (if applicable), the examination authorities determine whether you have qualified for admission to the postgraduate programme for which you applied. Qualification criteria may vary by programme and are typically mentioned in the official notifications.

It's important to note that the specific scoring and ranking methodology used in URATPG may vary from year to year and programme to programme. Therefore, it is advisable to refer to the official URATPG notifications and guidelines provided by the University of Rajasthan for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding result calculation for the specific year and programme you are interested in.
