NIT-Trichy organises one-day awareness programme for MSMEs
The programme was conducted to highlight the start-up ecosystem for young brains and the avenues and opportunities available for the MSMEs along with the special schemes of MSMEs.
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy conducted a one-day awareness programme on the MSME schemes implemented by the Union Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises. The programme was conducted to highlight the start-up ecosystem for young brains and the avenues and opportunities available for the MSMEs along with the special schemes of MSMEs. According to the institute, the programme was attended by more than 50 participants attended.
The joint director of MSME – DFO, Chennai, Suresh Babuji inaugurated the programme. He highlighted the special schemes available for MSMEs and encouraged the participants to enrol under the Udhayam portal. He also advised the participants to take up the ISO 9000, ZED, and cluster development schemes.
S Muthukumaran, dean (research and consultancy) gave a clarion call for utilising the MSME schemes and availing the facilities/infrastructure in NIT-Trichy for the improvement of the respective MSMEs.
NIT-Trichy is one of the implementing agencies for the decimation of schemes of the ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises. In order to make people aware about the initiatives, the ministry for MSME has sanctioned 10 one-day awareness programmes for various industrial sectors. Accordingly, the first one-day programme was conducted at NIT-Trichy for the benefit of the engineering fabrication and machining sectors, which are located in and around Trichy.
More than 50 participants from various MSME units attended the awareness programme at NIT-Trichy.
