Questions are asked on analogies, coding, and decoding, missing characters, Venn diagrams, syllogism, mathematical operations, etc. Candidates must have a strong and in-depth understanding of the basic concepts regarding these topics. Besides, candidates must nurture their ability to think and enhance problem-solving skills. They should use smart tricks to solve questions in this section.

Candidates must read and digest a lot of content such as newspapers, novels, or magazines to gain a basic understanding of the flow. Next work on building vocabulary and enhancing grammar. Since this section has questions, mainly in the form of sentence corrections, direct or indirect speech, and spotting the errors, among others. Therefore, a stronghold in grammar with a good vocabulary would do wonders.

SSC CPO paper 2 exam comprises objective-type questions. Questions in this section are asked from English Language and Comprehension. Total 200 marks are asked in the exam.

SSC CPO expected cut off 2024 is given below for various categories is given below.

SSC CPO selection process comprises Paper 1, PET/PST, Paper 2, medical exam and document verification and final selection. On the basis of their performance in Paper-I, candidates are shortlisted for appearing in PET/ PST Examination. PET/ PST is mandatory but qualifying in nature. Only those candidates who qualify PET/ PST are allowed to appear in the Paper 2 exam. On the basis of candidates' performance in Paper 1 and Paper 2, they are shortlisted for appearing in medical examination. Candidates, who are successful in medical examination, are called for detailed Document Verification. Final selection and allocation are made on the basis of the performance of candidates in Paper 1 and Paper 2 and the preferences of posts/force given by them at the time of document verification.

The Tier 1 exam of SSC CPO will be conducted on June 27, 28 and 29, 2024 in two shifts. The total marks allotted to the exam are 200. 

SSC CPO exam day guidelines are given below:

• Candidates must carry the printed copy of their admit cards to the exam hall along with one photo-identity proof
• Candidates must reach the exam centre an hour before the reporting time for the verification process
• Candidates must carry two passport-sized photographs to paste on the admit card
• Pen or pencil is provided to candidates at the examination hall
• No eatables are allowed in the exam hall
• No electronic items are allowed in the exam hall
• Candidates should not wear rings, bracelets, earrings, chains, nose pins, pendant, badge, brooch, hairpin, hair band, clothes with full sleeves
• Candidates should wear chappal instead of shoes
• No books/notepads/registers/magazines are allowed in the exam hall

SSC CPO exam conducted by SSC to select eligible candidates for the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

The minimum near vision should be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye). The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye) of both eyes without any correction like wearing glasses or surgery of any kind to improve visual acuity.

The structure of PET/PST is given below.

For male candidates

• 100 metre race in 16 seconds
• 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes
• Long Jump: 3.65 metre in 3 chances
• High Jump: 1.2 metre in 3 chances
• Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metre in 3 chance

For female candidates 

• 100 metre race in 18 seconds
• 800 metre race in 4 minutes
• Long Jump: 2.7 metre in 3 chances
• High Jump: 0.9 metre in 3 chances

Candidates qualifying the Paper 1 exam are called for PET/PST. Those candidates who are declared not qualified in Physical Standards, i.e. height and chest, may prefer an appeal to the appellate authority present on the PET/ PST ground. 

SSC CPO marks are calculated based on the marking scheme. Normalisation is done since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. This process is done using equi-percentile method

There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper 1 and 2. For the correct answer, candidates score one mark.

Paper 1 of SSC CPO comprises 200 objective-type questions on topics from General Knowledge, General Intelligence, English, and Quantitative Aptitude. 

A total of 4,187 vacancies were announced for the exam.Out of the total vacancies, 125 vacancies are for Sub-Inspector (Exe.) in Delhi Police-Male, 61 for Sub-Inspector (Exe.) in Delhi Police-Female and 4001 for Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs. 

The hard copy of SSC CPO admit card has not been sent to candidates by post. Candidates need to download their admit cards online only. They need to carry their admit cards while appearing for the exam.

The Reporting Time for SSC CPO Shift 1 is 8:30 AM and the exam starts from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Shift 2 Reporting Time is 2:00 PM and exam time is 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. SSC CPO shift timings are given below.
