IBPS RRB Exam Date 2025: Check Exam Timing, Duration & Schedule

IBPS RRB age limit for different posts is given below:

For Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): Candidates must be above 21 years and below 40 years, i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than July 3rd 1981 and later than May 31st 2000 (both dates inclusive)

For Officer Scale-II (Manager): Candidates must be above 21 years  and below 32 years, i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than July 3rd 1989 and later than May 31st 2000 (both dates inclusive).

For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): The age of candidates should be above 18 years and below 30 years, i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than July 3rd 1991 and later than May 31st, 2003 (both dates inclusive).

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): The age limit prescribed for this post is between 18 years and 28 years, i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than July 2nd 1993 and later than July 1st, 2003 (both dates inclusive).

IBPS RRB 2025 application form will be released in June 2025. Interested candidates are required to fill the application form online. The application fee is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of their application forms. IBPS RRB application form is released to fill up vacancies for the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant. Before filling the application form, candidates must ascertain that they fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the examination authority for IBPS RRB exam.

IBPS RRB Clerk prelims exam will be conducted on August 30, September 6 and 7, 2025. IBPS RRB PO prelims exam will be conducted on July 27, August 2 and 3, 2025. IBPS RRB single online exam and Mains exam for Officers Scale 2 & 3 and PO posts will be conducted on September 13, 2025. IBPS RRB Clerk Mains exam will be conducted on November 9, 2025. 

IBPS RRB selection process comprises prelims exam, Mains exam and interview. However, the selection process is different for different posts. The selection process for different posts is given below:

Officers Scale 1: The selection process for this post comprises prelims exam, Mains exam and interview

Officers Scale 2 and 3: The selection process for this post comprises single online exam and interview

Office Assistant: The selection process comprises prelims and Mains exams

The application fee for IBPS RRB exam is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. Applicants need to pay the application fee online only. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. After final submission, an additional page of the online application form is displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details. If the online transaction is not successfully completed then candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password and pay the application fees/intimation charges online. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt is generated. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form
containing fee details. 

IBPS RRB exam pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam such as marking scheme, total marks, number of sections, duration of exam, etc.. Before beginning with the preparation, candidates must go through IBPS RRB exam pattern thoroughly. As per IBPS RRB exam pattern, the prelims exam is conducted for the posts of Officers Scale 1 and Office Assistant (Multipurpose). The total marks allotted to the test are 80. The mains exam of IBPS RRB is conducted for the posts of Officers Scale 1 and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and carries 200 marks. IBPS RRB exam is conducted to select candidates for the post of Officers Scale 1, 2 and 3, 2024. The interview is conducted for the post of Officers Scale 1, 2 and 3. The selection of candidates for the interview is done based on the performance in the mains. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted to select candidates for the interview.
