All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi does not clearly define the AIIMS Nursing 2025 syllabus through the official notification. It only mentions the AIIMS Nursing exam pattern in the notification. As per the AIIMS Nursing 2025 exam pattern, 100 questions will be asked from four subjects which are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge. However, the syllabus is based on the course defined in classes 11 and 12.
Candidates preparing to appear for the BSc Nursing entrance exam should have completed class 12 from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and should have a general sense of general knowledge relating to history, current affairs, general policy & scientific research. Applicants are advised to prepare from the NEET syllabus to get a complete idea about the syllabus and prepare for the exam accordingly.

Q: Has the AIIMS Nursing exam pattern changed?
there is no official intimation about the change in AIIMS Nursing 2024 exam pattern yet. Until last year, there was no change in the exam pattern. AIIMS New Delhi conducts the national level entrance exam to facilitate admission into the BSc Nursing and Post Basic BSc Nursing, the eligibility criteria and the pattern of both the exam will be different.
Q: What will be the duration of the AIIMS Nursing 2024 exam? Will extra time be granted?
AIIMS Nursing exam for the BSc Nursing programme will be a 120-minute long exam and the Post Basic Nursing exam will be 90 minutes long. No extra time will be given to the candidates under any circumstances. Candidates will only be able to leave the examination hall once the exam time is over. It is important to reach the test centre 30 minutes before the reporting time.

Stage 2: Personal Interview/Assessment Scheme
Candidates who will be able to make it to the merit list based on the written exam will be called for the personal interview/assessment round. The second stage will have a weightage of 30 marks. The final merit list will decide the fate of the candidate based on their performance in both stages. Almost three times more candidates will be invited for the interview than the actual number of available seats. The assessment process will count the following criteria
- Past academic record in the Higher Secondary or 12 or equivalent examination
- Past academic record in the Nursing examination
- Performance as a Staff Nurse
