West Bengal ANM Nursing 2024: Counselling (Mop Up Round Ongoing), Seat Allotment Result (Dec 2), Admission Process, Reporting

The counselling of WB ANM/GNM is being conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). The counselling schedule is available on the official website. Applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria are advised to appear in the WB ANM/GNM counselling process and follow the procedure mentioned below. The WB ANM/GNM counselling registration started on October 28, 2024.

How to fill application form for WB ANM/GNM Counselling

Step 4: At last, pay the counselling registration fees of WB ANM/GNM 2024

The answer key of WB ANM 2024 was released on the official website today on August 13, 2024. The authorities have published the official dates of releasing of answer key of WB ANM 2024 via issuing a notice. 

Applicants after checking the WB ANM 2024 answer key could calculate their marks. WBJEEB will first release the WB ANM provisional answer key and give students time to raise objections. After that taking input from the applicants the final answer key will be released.

The WBJEEB prepared the result of WB ANM Nursing 2024 based on the final answer key. The exam-conducting authorities released the results on September 24, 2024. The WB ANM results 2024 is published in the form of a rank card, that comprises all relevant ranks and total scores of the students.

The exam conducting authority WBJEEB released the admit card of WB ANM/GNM 2024 online mode on the official website on July 29, 2024. Students who successfully filled the application form were only issued the hall ticket of WB ANM/GNM 2024.

One must enter the login credentials which are application number, date of birth, and security pin. After downloading the admit card applicants are advised to check for discrepancies and contact the authorities in case of any issues.

This year, applicants for admission to the WB ANM programmes will be shortlisted based on an entrance exam and a counselling process. The ANM (R) course lasts two years. The  Auxillary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) programme is a diploma-level course. Till last year, West Bengal Health & Family Welfare Department was the conducting body, and the admissions will be granted based on the merit of the candidates in the last exam cleared. From the WB ANM 2024 session, WBJEEB has taken over and will conduct the entrance exam to facilitate admission to the West Bengal ANM Nursing course. There are a total of 500 (263 reserved and 237 unreserved) for ANM courses across various nursing colleges in West Bengal.

West Bengal ANM Nursing Overview

Candidates can find the eligibility requirements for applying for admission below. All applicants must meet the eligibility requirements, which are based on the previous year's results. The eligibility criteria for each course are listed below.

• Only female applicants are eligible to apply.
• The age limit is 17 to 30 years old as of December 31st of the admission year.
• Citizenship- The applicant must be an Indian citizen who has resided continuously in the Gram Panchayat area of the concerned West Bengal district for at least 5 years before the application submission date.
• The candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate in Bengali or Nepali.
• Educational requirements include passing the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education's Higher Secondary, class 12 examination, the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development's Vocational Agricultural Examination, and the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development's Vocational Health Care Science Examination. In addition, applicants must have received a minimum of 40 percent in English and 40% overall.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board will shortlist the candidates for admission to the Auxillary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) course based on their performance and score in the common entrance test. A merit list will be made and released based on the entrance exam results. The merit list will be prepared based on the top four subjects. English will be one of these required subjects. The conducting authority publishes a merit list on its official website after all of the applications have been submitted and the review has been finished.

On the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in, candidates can access and apply for the application form online. The application form can't be submitted in any other way. Above is a direct connection to apply online for West Bengal ANM admissions in 2024. Candidates will be able to pay the following application fees using Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card only.
The application fee for General Candidates is INR 400 + applicable taxes and for SC/ST/OBC Candidates is INR 300 + applicable taxes.

To apply for West Bengal ANM Nursing, the first step is to register.

• Create an account by registering using personal details such as name, address and mobile number 
• Complete and submit the application form
• Scan and upload a copy of your picture and signature
• Pay the application fee only via the internet
• Hold a copy of the confirmation page and the admit card in a secure spot

The exam was conducted on August 4, 2024, in online mode. There will be sixty-five (65) questions on the report. All of the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four possible answers. The paper was conducted for 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. Except for the English and logical reasoning sections, the questions will be in both English and Bengali.

Until counselling, the competent authority will announce the seat matrix for the academic session 2024-25, which will be published on the Board's website. According to last year's figures, there were 500 seats available for Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery Training, out of which 263 seats were for reserved categories and 237 for unreserved.
