CIT admission is completely entrance/counselling based and is conducted by DOTE Chennai. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses across 13 departments such as Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics, among others. The institute also offers an Integrated MSc of five-year duration. Candidates can apply for admission to the course of their choice via online mode. Coimbatore Institute of Technology campus offers all the necessary facilities to its students. These facilities include a fully wi-fi campus, library abd sports complex and cafeteria, among others. The curriculum of CIT BSc+MSc Software Systems course is divided in semester-wise syllabus. There are theory and practical subjects in the curriculum. Each of the semester has practical labs to make students understand the subject better. Some of the lab subjects are mentioned below:

CIT Coimbatore released an official notification to declare the date and time of joining for selected candidates. As per the official notice, selected candidates could report from Jun 24 to Jun 27, 2024 from 9:30 am onwards. Students had to bring all the original certificates along with attested copies and DD of INR 78,400 as the first semester fee. Candidates must have passed Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, or equivalent with a minimum of 45% aggregate. In addition to this, students need to appear for TNEA counselling or the Single Window Admissions System. Single Window Admissions System is used in Anna University for TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission). It is popularly known as Anna University Counselling and is part of the process via which students completing Class 12 apply and secure admission to Engineering colleges within Tamil Nadu. The important strategy is that the counselling is conducted based on rank list, if a student is present for counselling then without allocating a college and course for that student, next rank cannot be allocated with a seat.
