OUAT entrance exam is conducted by Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) to offer admission to aspirants in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. The official website informs: “The University offers education at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Fishery Science, Home Science & Forestry in the semester system. OUAT Entrance Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The minimum education qualification to pursue a BSc course at Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology states that aspirants should have pursued their 10+2 with Science and secured minimum of 50% aggregate marks including extra optional. For candidates who have applied for admission under SC/ST/PH category need to have secured a minimum of 40% marks in their qualifying exam.

Note: Candidates who seek admission in “BSc (Ag.)/BSc (Hort.)/BSc (Forestry)/BSc (Home Science) without having Mathematics or Biology at the +2 level will have to make up their deficiency by taking pre-requisite courses in the subject (Mathematics/Biology) to be offered during the first two semesters”, informs the official website.
Additional OUAT entrance exam BSc eligibility criteria that aspirants need to fulfill in order to secure admission is as mentioned below:
- Cleared HSC or equivalent examination with Odia as MIL.
- Candidates who do not have Odia as MIL but their parents are permanent residents of Odisha need to furnish evidence of permanent residency in the form of a certificate from the Revenue Officer concerned not below the rank of Tahasildar/District Magistrate/their employer concerned.
- Candidates who do not have Odia as MIL and their parents are also not permanent residents of Odisha, but are serving under the Govt. of Odisha/Central Govt. /Public Undertaking or any University in the State of Odisha. Such aspirants must furnish a certificate confirming the same from the Head of the Office/Institution where their parent(s) is/are working.
- Odia students permanently residing outside Odisha must furnish a certificate confirming their Odisha origin either from their Employer/Tahasildar/District Magistrate (of the District in which they are residing). The certificate can also be submitted from the Tahasildar/ District Magistrate of their native place Odisha.
The above criteria (that is point 2 and 4) do not apply to ICAR/VCI nominees/Foreign Candidates/State Govt. sponsored candidates/children of employees of OUAT.
Age Limit: Candidates must be 17 years of age as on December 31, 2020 (that is, born on or before December 31, 2003).

OUAT Entrance Exam 2020 Admission Process
Aspirants need to follow the below mentioned steps as part of OUAT admission process
Step 1: Fill OUAT Entrance Exam Application Form
Aspirants need to fill OUAT entrance exam 2020 application form on the official website of Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology. Candidates can pay OUAT entrance exam application fee for UG course admissions by means of Bank Draft/Bankers Cheque that is drawn in favour of “Comptroller, OUAT, Bhubaneswar” and is payable at SBI OUAT Campus Branch, Bhubaneswar. The application fee can also be paid by means of State Bank Collect facility available on State Bank of India’s web page. Elaborating on the same, the official website of OUAT states: “On successful payment of application fee, he/she has to print a copy of the e-Receipt and enclose the same with the application as proof of payment. The e-Receipt contains a Reference Number starting with “DU” which the candidate may quote for all future correspondences in this regard with the University”.
Step 2: Get OUAT Exam Admit Card
Aspirants applying for UG course admissions will be sent their OUAT entrance exam 2020 admit card by speed post. The admit card for OUAT entrance exam 2020 admit card for admission in all courses contains the candidate’s name, course for which they applied, centre allotted, date and time of entrance exam, roll number, photograph and signature.
Step 3: Give OUAT Entrance Exam

However, aspirants seeking admission in BSc (Forestry) Course should qualify Physical Endurance Test to be conducted one day before their respective day of the counselling of each category, failing which their candidature for admission into BSc (Forestry) course will not be considered”, informs the official website. Step 5: Appear for Counselling
Candidates who make it to the OUAT merit list need to appear for the counselling round as per the date and time mentioned on their OUAT intimation-cum-rank card.
