Step 1: Know the OUAT Entrance Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme.

Step 2: Know the OUAT Entrance Exam Syllabus.

Step 3: Get as many preparation books for the course opted for.

Step 4: Solve sample papers, previous years' question papers and mock tests.

Step 5: Revise as much as you can. 

Step 6: Get proper rest. 

The candidate should know the OUAT Entrance exam pattern details such as the mode and medium of the entrance exam, what is the duration of the entrance exam and where will the entrance exam be conducted. Students should know all the details of the entrance exam. Will it be long answer questions or in MCQ format? The student must know the details of the entrance exam. The pattern can be different for the programmes and courses offered. Students need to know all the details so that there is no confusion later on. 

Other than the pattern, one needs to know the entrance exam marking scheme as it is advisable to study according to the marking in the entrance exam. Which sections have more weightage of marks, which section will comprise of what subjects? Will there be negative marking? One should know all the minute details before the entrance exam so that there is no confusion and wastage of time. 

Be it undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral, one needs to know the syllabus of the entrance exam so that they can study accordingly. Without the syllabus, a candidate tends to get lost and might miss out on the main points which can be asked in the entrance exam. Candidates can go through the following steps on how to prepare for the OUAT Entrance Exam: 

Set a Time Table: One needs to make a time schedule as to how much that one can study on a daily and weekly basis. 

Get Prep Books: One needs to purchase at least two to three prep books on the course applied for. One can learn more about the course and subjects, know the content which can ease your problems. By reading prep books, one can understand the nature of the subject relevantly. 

Solve Sample Papers: Get as many sample papers as you can. Be its previous years' question papers on Agriculture or Fisheries, or any course the candidate has opted for. By solving question papers, one gets an idea of the questions asked, the subjects which are given more weightage, the marking scheme. Also, it is more challenging if you try to complete the paper according to the duration of the entrance exam. In doing so, you can test yourself and know your strengths and abilities. 

Revision: Once you have studied a subject or topic, it is imperative to revise what you have learnt. There may be a point which you may have missed out or you get to understand the topic better. Also, one can register what they have learnt by writing down pointers. 

Rest: Also, add rest to your preparation. One needs proper rest as a tired mind cannot take in more information. Set your rest time accordingly, take naps in between if you feel tired. No need of burning the midnight oil if you prepare the right way.
