PTET Exam Pattern 2025: The exam conducting authority prescribes the Rajasthan PTET 2025 exam pattern. The exam pattern of PTET 2025 is mentioned in the notification and is released on the exam body's official website. As of now the exam body for the Rajasthan PTET 2025 is not announced yet and as soon as it is announced we will mention it here. The PTET exam pattern 2025 consists of the sections, marking scheme, and time duration of the exam. As per the official PTET exam pattern, the PTET exam is about three hours duration and the question paper of PTET will have MCQ-type questions from four sections - Mental Ability, Teaching and aptitude Test, General Awareness, and Language Proficiency. There were 200 questions for a total of 600 marks. The PTET question paper was both in English and Hindi languages except for the Language Proficiency Section. Candidates preparing for the PTET exam must go through the exam pattern. Along with the exam pattern, candidates are also advised to check the PTET syllabus 2025. Q:   How many subjects are there in PTET exam?

A:

As mentioned in the official notification of PTET released by the exam conducting authority, the Rajasthan PTET has 4 subjects. The four subjects from where the questions will arise in the PTET exam are namely, Mental Ability, Teaching Attitude and aptitude Test, General Awareness and Language Proficiency. Candidates planning to appear in the PTET exam are advised to study all the subjects well in advance and thoroughly to crack the exam.

Q:   Is there negative marking in PTET?

A:

No, as per the official notification released by the exam conducting authority there is no negative marking in the exam. Out of the 4 options available, candidates will have to choose the correct answer and mark it in the OMR sheet provided. For each correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded and there will be no negative marking in the paper. For an unattempted question also, there will be 0 marks granted. Hence, candidates have the freedom to answer the question without fearing for minus marking,

Q:   What is the benefit of PTET exam?

A:

PTET stands for the “Pre Teacher Education Test" it is one of the most popular BEd entrance exams in India, the biggest benefit of PTET exam is, it makes candidates eligibile to enrol for BEd courses in the state-run colleges in Rajasthan. The objective of the PTET exam is to shortlist candidates for admission into BEd course. The exam is conducted by a state university from Rajasthan, each year the university is changed. In 2023 the exam was conducted by GGTU, Banswara while in 2024 it was conducted by VMOU, Kota.

Q:   What are the minimum passing marks for PTET exam?

A:

To increase the chances of their qualification candidates need to score the minimum passing marks for Ptet exam. The minimum passing marks is calculated on the basis of various factors such as difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates who appeared in the exam as well as the shifts in which the exam was conducted. As per previous year data, the minimum qualifying marks for General category candidates (Male) is 360-380 while the same for (Female) candidates is 330-340. The minimum passing marks for OBC canidates (Male) is 345-354 while that for Female candidates is 319-324. The minimum passing marks for SC candidates (Male) is 320-330 while tha same for Female candidates is 299-310.

As per the official exam pattern of Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET). The PTET exam is of 3 hours duration and the question paper is Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in nature. No there is no negative marking in the PTET. PTET: Types of Questions

Section A- Mental Ability: The section shall consist of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQs) to test the following abilities: (i) Reasoning  

(ii) Imagination  

(iii) Judgement & Decision Making  

(iv) Creative Thinking  

(v) Generalization  

(vi) Drawing inferences etc.  

Section B- Teaching attitude & Aptitude Test: The section shall consist of 50 questions including following areas:  

(i) Social Maturity,  

(ii) Leadership,  

(iii) Professional Commitment,  

(iv) interpersonal Relations.  

(v) Communication,  

(vi) Awareness etc.  

Section C- General Awareness: The section shall consist of 50 multiple choice questions including:  

(i) Current Affairs (National & International),  

(ii) (Indian History & Culture,  

(iii) India and its Natural Resources.  

(iv) Great Indian Personalities (Past and Present),  

(v) Environmental Awareness,  

(vi) Knowledge about Rajasthan, etc. 

Section D- Language Proficiency (Hindi or English): The section shall consist of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQs) related to proficiency in Hindi or English Language including following aspects:  

(i) Vocabulary,  

(ii) Functional Grammar,  

(iii) Sentence Structures,  

(iv) Comprehension, etc. 

PTET 2025 Marking Scheme

Rajasthan PTET 2025 questions shall be objective-type multiple-choice questions with at least four alternative answers. The Paper will be in both English and Hindi. In case of discrepancy in the options of answers or in the question paper, the English version shall be treated as final. In the PTET question paper, each question will carry 3 marks, and the maximum marks in the paper shall be 600. Candidates will be awarded a full 3 marks for each correct answer. Meanwhile, in the Attitude & Aptitude Section, the answers will be scaled on a scale of 3 to 0 marks.
