First, candidates need to understand the PTET exam pattern 2025 as per which there are 200 questions in the exam, and each test carries 3 marks. The questions are based on Mental Ability, Teaching Aptitude, General Awareness, and Language Proficiency (English/Hindi). The test will be conducted in English and Hindi. No, as per the official notification released by the exam conducting authority there is no negative marking in the exam. Out of the 4 options available, candidates will have to choose the correct answer and mark it in the OMR sheet provided. For each correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded and there will be no negative marking in the paper. For an unattempted question also, there will be 0 marks granted. Hence, candidates have the freedom to answer the question without fearing for minus marking,

To increase the chances of their qualification candidates need to score the minimum passing marks for Ptet exam. The minimum passing marks is calculated on the basis of various factors such as difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates who appeared in the exam as well as the shifts in which the exam was conducted. As per previous year data, the minimum qualifying marks for General category candidates (Male) is 360-380 while the same for (Female) candidates is 330-340.
