Rajasthan PTET Prep Tips 2025: The exam conducting authority, conducts the Rajasthan PTET exam to shortlist students for BEd courses offered by participating colleges from Rajasthan. PTET is an annual BEd entrance test and is one of the toughest exams which attracts a lot of aspiring teachers. A:

To start preparing for the PTET exam candidates need to first make sure that they are very well versed with the exam pattern and the syllabus of the PTET exam. Candidates can then download the previous year question papers and solve them on a regular basis atleast 30 days prior to the exam.

Q:   How many subjects are there in PTET exam?

A:

As mentioned in the official notification of PTET released by the exam conducting authority, the Rajasthan PTET has 4 subjects. The four subjects from where the questions will arise in the PTET exam are namely, Mental Ability, Teaching Attitude and aptitude Test, General Awareness and Language Proficiency. Candidates planning to appear in the PTET exam are advised to study all the subjects well in advance and thoroughly to crack the exam.

Q:   What is the format of the PTET exam?

A:

As per the format of the PTET exam, the question paper of PTET will be multiple choice in nature and consist of 200 questions. The questions will be based on 4 sections namely - Mental Ability, Teaching attitude and aptitude Test, General Awareness, and Language Proficiency (English and Hindi). Each question will carry 3 marks each and the total marks of the PTET exam will be 600. There is no negative marking in the PTET exam. The total time duration of the PTET exam will be 3 hours.

Understand the Exam Pattern

First, candidates need to understand the PTET exam pattern 2025 as per which there are 200 questions in the exam, and each test carries 3 marks. The questions are based on Mental Ability, Teaching Aptitude, General Awareness, and Language Proficiency (English/Hindi). The test will be conducted in English and Hindi. There will be no negative marking in the exam giving candidates ample freedom to solve the questions without worrying about minus marking.

Create a PTET Study Plan

Once students are well aware of the exam pattern and the PTET syllabus of the test they need to create a study plan - 

  • Dedicate specific hours for each section.

Q:   Is there negative marking in PTET?

A:

No, as per the official notification released by the exam conducting authority there is no negative marking in the exam. Out of the 4 options available, candidates will have to choose the correct answer and mark it in the OMR sheet provided. For each correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded and there will be no negative marking in the paper. For an unattempted question also, there will be 0 marks granted. Hence, candidates have the freedom to answer the question without fearing for minus marking,

Q:   What is the pattern of PTET exam?

A:

As per the official exam pattern of Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET). The PTET exam is of 3 hours duration and the question paper is Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in nature. The question paper will be based on sections such as Mental Ability, Teaching Attitude and Aptitude Test, General Awareness and Language Proficiency (Hindi or English). The total number of questions will be 200 while the maximum marks will be 600 with 3 marks per question. There is no negative marking in the PTET exam.

A:

Q:   What are the minimum passing marks for PTET exam?

A:

To increase the chances of their qualification candidates need to score the minimum passing marks for Ptet exam. The minimum passing marks is calculated on the basis of various factors such as difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates who appeared in the exam as well as the shifts in which the exam was conducted. As per previous year data, the minimum qualifying marks for General category candidates (Male) is 360-380 while the same for (Female) candidates is 330-340. The minimum passing marks for OBC canidates (Male) is 345-354 while that for Female candidates is 319-324. The minimum passing marks for SC candidates (Male) is 320-330 while tha same for Female candidates is 299-310.

Yes, Shri Ratanlal Kanwarlal Patni Mahila Mahavidyalaya accepts PTET scores for admission to BEd courses. To be eligible candidates must pass graduation degree from a recognised university. Candidates must apply and appear for the PTET score and score good aggregate to grab the seat.
