M.Sc. in Microbiology - Batch of 2025
4.2
3Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
One of the best college to join with excellent infrastructure and many more.
Placements: I am pursuing an M.Sc. Microbiology. My batch is 2023-2025, and we have 43 students in our class. Placements may or may not occur; there is no guarantee of placements, but many of our college students got recruited by top companies like Aurobindo, Biological E. Ltd, and mostly they joined Ph.D. programs through UGCCET, APRCET, CSIRCET, etc. We will get an internship during the final year, which is not included in the course curriculum, but it is recommended by our professors who show us the way to doing the internship. The company is also provided by them for the internship. These companies majorly involve the production of VAM, fermentation technology, etc.
Infrastructure: We have a department library and computer lab within the department, and we also have a centralized computer lab and university library where we can get any subject books, research articles, etc. We have a digital projector in the classroom. The campus has a university canteen, health care center, and playground. The health care center fee is extra. The lab consists of various equipment like centrifuges, laminar air flow chambers, spectrophotometers, autoclaves, etc.
Faculty: We have highly qualified professors who provide us with vast knowledge and practical skills. The course curriculum is well-planned according to industrial and research purposes. These consist of papers such as fermentation technology, industrial microbiology, bacteriology, virology, rDNA technology, biofertilizers technology, etc. Each year has 2 semesters, with a total of 4 semesters for the whole course, and we have 2 internal examinations for each semester. The pass percentage is 100% for my batch; it varies for difficult batches. The average pass percentage of the course is 98-100%.
Other: Acharya Nagarjuna University is one of the top universities in Andhra Pradesh with many facilities for students; that’s why I have chosen this college. I think lab facilities need to be improved; they can be better than the present. Placements should also be provided mandatorily. We have many extracurricular activities and events like Sports Day, Youthfeast, etc. We also have seminars, webinars, workshops, and conferences conducted on our campus. We also have 2 mandatory online certificate courses in our course which are chosen by yourself. We have a herbal garden, open-air theater, and sitting areas all over the campus, which is a great stress reliever.

Absolutely fantastic college with good faculty and well-equipped laboratories.
Placements: The students joined according to their rank in AP PGCET, between 1-500 rank holders. The highest packages are 3-4 lakh per annum. Hetero, Diwis, and Laurus are top recruiters. 80% of students got internships in RK Labs. AR&D and R&D are top roles offered by our course.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are very clean and modern, spacious, and it contains free Wi-Fi, a library, and a well-equipped laboratory. The hostel facility is very good; it contains study rooms and a free Wi-Fi room, and for entertainment, a TV room is also provided. The food in the canteen and mess is also very good, and the atmosphere is hygienic.
Faculty: The professors are helpful in every situation and well qualified with respective doctorates and knowledgeable. The main reason for choosing this course is it mainly contains industrial purpose and instruments handling. The semester exams are very difficult, and the pass percentage is 80%.
Other: I choose this course based on present job needs that the company wants. This course mainly contains instrumentation and research work. So many sports events, entertainment events, and youth fests are conducted every month, and students apply for various state and central scholarships.

M.Sc. in Forensic Sciences - Batch of 2025
2.8
3Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Subjects full, jobs nil. Syllabus full, faculty nil.
Placements: Our course doesn't have many private jobs, only government jobs. At present, we still haven't gotten any intern options, but next sem we will get the intern options. My seniors said our course doesn't have much job opportunities. So, those who want to settle fast in their career with a job should not choose this.
Infrastructure: There are no different hostels for each course; all will live in the same hostels only. The food quality is very poor; recently there was an issue in the hostel also. There are no sports and games that are held in the place of the ground only, which is a common place for girls and boys.
Faculty: Actually, teachers are helpful, but all have resigned because they got another job. The curriculum is okay, not bad, but we lack practical knowledge due to a lack of equipment. Semester examinations are so simple; it's difficult to have backlogs. Our class has a 100% pass percentage.
Other: I chose this as a 2nd option because I like the investigation of crime scenes and crimes. Practical knowledge should be improved. We don't have many events in our department; even freshers' party and farewell are combined.

College - which is an open book.
Placements: Our college offers the placements 80-90 percent of all students for who are eligible. The highest package is about 6LPA and the lowest is about 2.5 LPA and the average package is about 3LPA. Some of the recruiters provided by our college are Amazon, TCS, Electronics, Deltax, MSN laboratories and some of the pharmaceutical laboratories. They provide placements for life Science students from Pharma companies.
Infrastructure: Our college is from since 1980's. The college infrastructure is too good and peaceful. It provided hostel for girls and boys separately. The hostel food was good and hygienic. It also contains GYM, Canteen. The college lab was well-equipped with the latest technology machines. The college had a playground, seminar Hall, canteen, medical facility, library. It also had auditorium which is so big and every college fest was celebrated here.
Faculty: The faculty at our college are well experienced, knowledgeable and trained. Our faculty have Masters degree in their domain of study. Some of the faculty had Ph.D. degrees. Almost all the college faculty are supportive and friendly towards the students. The quality of teaching was good. They also help us for how to prepare for competitive exams like GATE CISR NET, UGC NET etc. , .
Other: I choose M.Sc. in Microbiology. In this college I learned many things like laboratory work, knowledge etc. The college fests was conducted very well in auditorium room. The also conducts sports for students. They also conduct essay writing, debates, painting, singing, dancing, G. K. competitions on occasion of August 15th, January 26th and announces top 3 prizes for winners.

M.Sc. in Statistics - Batch of 2023

Good infrastructure. A little bit dissatisfied with faculty.
Placements: At present college did not offer any placements for my course. We need to have college placements for our evaluation. We don't have any recruitment in our college We don't have any internships in our college 95% of students were placed in my course for my batch.
Infrastructure: Our department has good infrastructure with classrooms, Wi-Fi, 2 computer labs, department library and a big seminar hall with projector. The quality of the food in the mess is above average, the food in the canteen is good. Health center is also available for medical emergencies, and have ambulance facility also. If we are interested sports and games are also available.
Faculty: At present our course doesn't have professors, but we have faculty with Ph.D. and provide textbooks for references and materials for studying. But the teaching quality is not good as expected, we have to work hard. The course curriculum is relevant. It can make us industry ready. We have R-programming language which is very useful in industry. Semester exams have moderate level. We have 95% pass percentage.
Other: Statistics seems to be a little interest, that's why I chose this. Statistics plays a key role in industrial sector, for quality testing, used in data collections, interpretation, data base management. Everything revolves around Statistics that is the best part about my course. It's better if we have placements in our college. It will be better if have professors. Events will be conducted regularly in our department. Campus is completely filled with greenery, cleanliness, good surroundings, we have scholarships and so many extracurricular activities like sports.

Absolutely satisfied with the university.
Placements: No placements were given in my college. As per the norms of the university, placements are provided with great opportunities and industrial trials. Top roles can be provided in our course. Though our course is tough, we can make sure with all the experience given by professors.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the university in departments are good. Labs are well maintained with good equipment. The library is very useful for all the competitive exams. There is Wi-Fi facility in and around campus. Facilities in the hostel are not good; food provided in the mess is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is very good as well. Course curriculum is more relevant. It makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are not very difficult. Pass percentage is 32% and it is negotiable.
Other: Our batch is the most talented and best outgoing batch that professors used to say to us. I have chosen this course for my further research process. The instrumentation experience is to be much given to students. Surroundings are very neat and clean. Extracurricular activities are conducted every three months. Events like guests and alumni meets are also conducted every three months in a prescribed manner. Campus crowds won't be there as the surroundings are guarded by the securities.
