Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Courses at Acharya Nagarjuna University

Unfortunately, according to multiple student reviews, the placement cell at Acharya Nagarjuna University is not effective:

    * "Don't expect anything from the placement cell." (Student)
    * "There is no placement cell in our college." (Alumni)
    * "No placements from the last 6 years. Off-campus placements are the only option." (Student)
    * "There is no single placement even for CSE branch. No intention to provide placements." (Student)

I am satisfied to study at this college with good faculty members and good placements.
Placements: Maximum students get placed here, and the placement department is very good. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. All students get an internship according to their domain. Top recruiting companies like Accenture, TCS, etc., visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are very good. The library has a vast collection of books. The hostel is also good but it is based on the roommates students get in the hostel. There is a canteen but prices are a little bit high. A gym and ground are also available. Students have to adjust the food in the hostel according to taste.
Faculty: Faculty members are very friendly. The quality of teaching is top-notch. They will help students with subjects and also give career guidance. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty level. I think the pass percentage is 85%.
Other: I have chosen this course because of my interest in electronics. Events are organised multiple times. Some coding contests and extracurricular activities are also conducted here.

Placements: The highest package in 2024 is 8 CTC. Mostly in the third year, we will get some placement opportunities, and then in the 4th year, we will get more placement opportunities so that we can grab that opportunity. The faculty will teach us more in the 3rd and 4th years, which are related to the jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good at labs, libraries, and classrooms. The quality of hostel food is good to eat for both boys and girls. The college will conduct games and sports, and also we have a sport hour to play with everyone. We also have a canteen and stores available.
Faculty: The faculty in my college is very interactive with students, and they are good at their knowledge and have good qualifications. The pass marks are 25, and the semester exams are the students can write. The teaching quality is very good, and they even explain again if we didn't understand.

Good For Study if you zeal and passion
Placements: I don't think any student got placed through campus placement as out of 350 people, minimum 270 people are still struggling to find jobs as we don't have any on campus placement. Whatever job students get, comes from off campus only.
Infrastructure: The course in the college is easy to crack as there is nothing much tough in the college. Coming to hostel, the hostel premises are good and the hostel buildings are also very nice to see in terms of appearance but the food and hygiene conditions are not upto the mark but manageable.
Faculty: Faculty in the college is highly educated and have completed higher level of studies. The teaching standards are not that good as they could have been. Coming to exams, we have 2 mid exams for a semester followed by a semester exam and internal lab exam, external lab exams which are not that tough to crack.
Other: I chose this college because it is a Government University so my degree adds value to my career. Coming to the cultural events, once we had a cultural event in every month but gradually it decreased and we have only one fest every year.

Placements: Coming to placements, this college provides placements to students. The percentage of students placed in this college is nearly 60%, and other students are placed through their relatives. The highest package I think is 40 lakhs and the lowest package is 3 Lacs. Companies like Infosys, Cognizant, and other top companies hire students.
Infrastructure: The college is very big, nearly 30 to 35 acres, and the infrastructure is looking good. The environment is peaceful because it is near the forest, and all facilities are available in the college. The hostel is good, and the food they provide in the hostel is good. Coming to labs, classrooms, and the library, they are good and clean. The canteen is perfect for students because the rates in the canteen are lower compared to other college canteens.
Faculty: The faculty is good, highly talented, and very knowledgeable. The college hires good lecturers, and their teaching skills are good. They support students in every situation and give daily work. The teachers are updated with the latest technology. Coming to semester exams, they are difficult, but students are well-prepared and write them well. The pass percentage of students is also good.

Infrastructure: The facilities are inadequate. The labs and classrooms are available, but there is no Wi-Fi network on campus. Students are only allowed to use the labs for their subjects, not for the course they are taking. The hostel is good, but the food quality in the mess and canteen is poor. There are no medical facilities or sports and games available.
Faculty: Some teachers are not qualified, and only a few are knowledgeable. The course curriculum is not relevant and does not prepare students for industry. Semester exams are good, but the pass percentage is only 21%.

    Acharya Nagarjuna University BTech FAQs

Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at Acharya Nagarjuna University worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

B.E./B.Tech at Acharya Nagarjuna University: Worth the Investment?

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Acharya Nagarjuna University is decent, with some improvements needed. While the classrooms and labs are good, the hostel facilities are subpar, especially regarding Wi-Fi and food. However, the library is well-maintained and has a vast collection of books.

Fewer than 20% of students receive internships, and the placement process is mostly dependent on individual efforts.

Course Curriculum and Faculty: The course curriculum is somewhat outdated, and the faculty is generally helpful but not outstanding. The teaching style is traditional, and self-study is emphasized.

If you're looking for a strong industry connection and cutting-edge curriculum, you might consider alternative options.
