AIIMS Kalyani at a glance.
Placements: There are 125 students per batch. Its a 5.5-year course with 4.5 academic years and 1 year of compulsory internship. The internship stipend is 30,000 per month at AIIMS Kalyani. After MBBS, you will get a license for practice with a salary of 70,000 to 100,000 per month, depending on the college.
Infrastructure: We have a top-notch campus and well-furnished, spacious hostels. The whole campus has free Wi-Fi service. The mess food is also delicious and contains a menu of foods from different regions of the country. We also have many arts, drama, music, and sports clubs for extracurricular activities.
Faculty: The professors are highly experienced with the MD level of qualification. The MBBS curriculum at AIIMS focuses on the early clinical exposure of students. There are 2-3 semesters per year, along with a final professional exam at the end of the year. It is of a moderate to hard level.
Other: I wanted to become a good clinician; that's why I chose AIIMS. We have a lot of events along with studies and our annual sociocultural fest named ELYSSIA happens every year in April.

Satisfied with faculty, an excellent college!
Placements: The success rate of students passing the final year of MBBS is very high. All students were retained in the course. During the internship, Rs. 30,101 was offered every month. The college offers both MBBS and MD courses. Students from all over the country come here.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are very good. Electricity is provided free of charge. Water facilities are also provided free of charge. The quality of the food given in the mess is also of great taste, which caters to the needs of almost all students. The mess has AC facilities in the summer.
Faculty: The teachers teaching at the college are very helpful. They are always ready to help. You can ask them questions, and they will always answer them. Regular examinations are conducted on a daily basis. The tests conducted help us evaluate our own performance throughout the year.

AIIMS Kalyani—a future powerhouse of medical education in the making
Placements: The college does not hold any placement programs like engineering colleges, but MBBS is such a field that, after passing out, you will never complain of unemployment. There are ample opportunities after MBBS; you can pursue an MD or MS, or you can join any medical college as a medical officer or non-academic JR and earn decent money. You can even practice in a private setting.
Infrastructure: AIIMS Kalyani, being an institute of national importance, boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure along with ample facilities for students. Each and every department is centrally air-conditioned, with all modern equipment and an ample quantity of equipment for students. Wi-Fi is available for free throughout the campus for students. There is a central library, which is truly huge, with separate cubicles for each student. There are 3 canteens and 1 student mess on campus. The hostels provided here are top-notch. For the 1st and 2nd years, double-occupancy rooms are given, while single rooms with attached washrooms are given for the 3rd and 4th years. Each student is provided with a separate B.Ed. mattress, wardrobe, wall wardrobe, side table, dustbin, study table, and chair. The hostel is cleaned every day.
Faculty: You have to crack the NEET exam to get into this college. AIIMS, being a central institute, selects faculty members with lots of filters, and they truly possess one of the best faculty members in India. Till today, not a single class has been skipped by any faculty. All the faculty members excel in their own fields and focus a lot on research. The academic curriculum is a bit rigid and thorough since you are going to come out as an AIIMS doctor, so they truly focus a lot more on your clinical skills.
Other: Each batch comprises only 125 students, so the student-teacher ratio is really good. There are various clubs: Scientific Society, Quiz Club, Literary Club, Cultural Club, Art Club, and Sports Club. They conduct various events throughout the year. There is an intra-college Annual day is held every year, where all students are divided into 4 houses and various competitions are organized. Also, in April every year, the annual socio-cultural inter-college fest is held, where students from all over India come to participate. Total footfall lies around 3000–4000. The only downside that I see of this college is that its location is on the outskirts of the main Kalyani city, and it is 50 km away from Kolkata.

Best infrastructure and faculty members.
Placements: There are 125 students in my class. Every year, 125 students take admission to this college. All the students have to do a one-year compulsory internship after the MBBS for which they get a stipend too. After MBBS, one can work in a government / private hospital or pursue his / her further studies for PG, specials, or fellowships.
Infrastructure: AIIMS, as a central bank, has world-class infrastructure; there is no doubt. Classrooms and LTs are well furnished. All the labs are well-equipped with modern appliances and well-qualified technicians. The library is also very nice; it provides research papers and e-resources. One can even access the library from his / her phone / iPad. The whole campus has a very good Wi-Fi network except the hostels but one can set up his / her own Wi-Fi if needed. The hostels are well furnished. Mess provides very good food. There are separate counters for vegetables and non-vegetables. There are many canteens on campus: Yatri canteen in IPD, Academic canteen, Dharamshala canteen, OPD canteen, along with amenity halls. Sports like cricket, chess, carrom, badminton, TT, football, volleyball, basketball, etc. are played here. There are clubs for these, too.
Faculty: Faculty members are one of the best criteria for admission here. They are from the top institutions in India; even some are from foreign universities. They are excellent and have friendly behavior with students. The administration is very strict about the rules & regulations. One can appear for exams only if he or she fulfills the criteria (75% attendance for theory & 80% for practical).
Other: After MBBS, you become a doctor, one of the most prestigious professions not only in India but also in the whole world. One can serve mankind and the nation & make himself/herself proud. Events such as the annual fest (Elyssia), sports day, music fest, literary events, art competitions, etc. are also organized here from time to time.

AIIMS Kalyani is the best in West Bengal.
Placements: So basically, our batch has a total of 125 students. Every year, through NEET, they are selected. Our course is for 5.5 years, including an internship. For the whole course, we have to give only INR 5856, which is like nothing as compared to those of state colleges.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is one of the best here. There are wide buildings with the best manpower. Sulabh workers are there to maintain the cleanliness of the hospital and the entire campus. The quality of food is average here and still needs improvement.
Faculty: The teachers here are knowledgeable enough, and every teacher has a unique way to teach and make us understand. Teaching quality is awesome here, with a perfect student-faculty ratio. The exams here are conducted regularly, and they are difficult, but we can pass them.
Other: Sport facilities are still improving here.
