Akal University was established in 2005 to uphold the three basic principles of higher education namely; Teaching, Learning, and Research. Akal Bhatinda offers UG and PG programmes in mathematics, physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, psychology, economics and commerce, English, and Punjabi languages. Furthermore, the University also offers PhD programmes in Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Economics.
Akal Bhatinda campus is well-equipped with ultra-modern facilities for teaching and research, Wi-Fi campus, modern labs, internet-linked smart classrooms, high tech well-stocked library facilities, CCTV cameras for special security of girl students, modern residential accommodation for teachers and separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, sports and recreational facilities for boys and girls.
