AKTU Course Admissions 2025: Cutoff, Application, Fees, Eligibility

The level of difficulty depends on the course opted by the student. As per the information collated from web, AKTU semester exams are not that tough and students who prepare well in advance find it easy to pass the exam. Students must use diagrams and flow charts wherever, required to present the answers properly. These additional efforts help students fetch more marks.

AKTU PhD admission process is based on performance of a candidate in an entrance exam conducted by the University, followed by a PI round. For seeking admission, eligible candidates need to fill PhD application form and submit it along with mandatory enclosures to university's admission cell.

AKTU offers a two-year full-time MBA programme to develop a complete understanding of Business and Management studies for candidates without any work experience. However, to suit the needs of working professionals, AKTU also offers a two-year Executive MBA programme especially for managers, business leaders and other professionals in part-time mode.

For seeking admission to the programme, candidates should possess a BE/ BTech or equivalent degree in relevant stream with a minimum of 60% aggregate (54% for SC/ ST candidates) along with a valid UPSEE rank. GATE-qualified candidates are also considered for AKTU M.Tech admission. However, such candidates first need to undergo a counselling process along with UPSEE-qualified candidates for seat allotment.

Yes, candidates seeking admission to DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University undergraduate and postgraduate courses must have appeared for the CUET-UG and CUET-PG entrance exams, respectively. AKTU will not admit students who do not a valid CUET score. NTA usually releases CUET result in July. CUET UG Counselling is held and conducted separately by the participating institutes. CUET UG Counselling is usually held between Jul and Aug.

DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University is expected to conduct a total of six rounds for CUET-UG-qualified candidates. However, the cutoff rounds are conducted as per seat availability. If seats are available after AKTU round six of the counselling process, the University will release the special round to fulfil their vacant seats. 

The selection of candidates to AKTU's BTech programme is based on their UPSEE ranks. The counselling process is also managed and regulated by UPSEE based on which the candidates are allotted seats. However, AKTU has reserved 20% of the total sanctioned seats for the candidates with a valid JEE Main score. JEE Main-qualified candidates are exempted from UPSEE and need to register directly for the counselling process. The difference between BCom and BCom (Hons) programme is that a student can specialise in a certain subject such as Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies, etc. while pursuing BCom (Hons), which is not possible in BCom Pass course. However, admission to both the programmes is granted on a merit basis.

AKTU marksheet is prepared based on the theory and practical marks of the students. In the last or final year of the course, students are required to submit a project work. As per the information from web, non-submission of project report will not effect the theory marks. However, the final marksheet is not released for such candidates. It is important to submit the project work to pass the course.
