No, Alagappa University BSc course admission is merit-based. Candidates are admitted to the UG programmes based on merit in the last qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12. The university or its affiliated colleges may release a cutoff list to declare the minimum aggregate.

However, for the BSc in Nautical Sciences course, candidates shall have a valid score of IMUCET. This programme is offered by Coimbatore Marine College.
