Q:   I've scored less than 50% in graduation, can I get admission in AMU for MA?

A: 

AMU MA is a two-year postgraduate programme offered in the full-time mode. Candidates who have scored at least 50% in Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline are eligible to pursue MA at the university. Hence, a candidate scoring less that 50% in their graduation degree is not eligible to apply for the programme. Such candidates can pursue MA at some other college or university. They can also check out the colleges offering online MA courses.

Q:   Which courses of AMU are under CUET?

A: 

Aligarh Muslim University accepts Persian/4 exam to shortlist candidates for admission to seven undergraduate courses. 

The list of AMU courses, admission to which is based on performance of the candidate in CUET, is mentioned below:

  1. BSc (Hons) Community Science
  2. BA (Hons in Hindi/ Persian/ Philosopy/ Sanskrit)
  3. BVoc- Production Technology
  4. BVoc- Polymer and Coating Technology
  5. BVoc- Fashion Design & Garment Technology
  6. BSc (Hons in Geography/ Statistics)
  7. BA (Hons in Persian/4 Women's studies)

Candidates seeking admission to any of the above-listed courses need to fill out the CUET application form through the CUET official website to appear for the entrance exam. Apart from CUET, the candidates also need to register on the AMU official website for application form, counselling and Persian/9

Q:   How many marks required to get admission in AMU?

A: 

The minimum marks required for admission to AMU depends on the selected course. Generally, for all the UG courses the minimum requirement is that the candidate must have passed class 12 with a minimum 50% aggregate and for AMU PG courses admission, 50% in graduation is required.

Q:   Is AMU good for Law?

A: 

In terms of placements, AMU has maintained a good record for Law courses. As per the NIRF report 2023, the highest median package offered during 2022 placements was INR 12.30 LPA and was made to BA LLB students. A: 

There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the programmes offered at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Candidates seeking admission at AMU must meet the eligibility criteria laid down by the university. Those who meet the eligibility criteria can register for the prescribed entrance examinations.     I am almost satisfied because of many reasons which I have already filled up.
    Placements: Placement from my subject is not possible if u NIT not qualifying NET or JRF. It is better to do Ph.D. in this cource. After completing this course u can get lots of job opportunities in aboard like golf countries and european too. But u can face a bit difficulty in india.
    Infrastructure: If I am talking about infrastructure of islamic studies department. ! There computer labs, one seminar room for Masters student, one library, which is asias 2nd the oldest collection of books in the field of islamic studies! There conference room and two smart classroom.
    Faculty: All faculty teachers of islamic studues department are very expert in their specific field and they are experienced in all. ! Curriculum framed in this way that cover all the part of islamic history from all over the world. It also deal with mugal history of india.
    Other: There many more activities are performed at national or international level. Eg. International or nstional seminars, events, or extra curricular activities. Etc.
