AMU offers MSc as a two-year postgraduate programme offered in the full-time mode. To be eligible to pursue MSc at AMU, candidates must have scored at least 55% in Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline. Hence, a candidate scoring less that 50% in their graduation degree is not eligible to apply for the programme. Such candidates can pursue MSc at some other college or university. Aligarh Muslim University accepts Persian/4 exam to shortlist candidates for admission to seven undergraduate courses.

Candidates seeking admission to any of the above-listed courses need to fill out the CUET application form through the CUET official website to appear for the entrance exam. Apart from CUET, the candidates also need to register on the AMU official website for application form, counselling and Persian/9

There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the programmes offered at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Candidates seeking admission at AMU must meet the eligibility criteria laid down by the university. Those who meet the eligibility criteria can register for the prescribed entrance examinations. The minimum marks required for admission to AMU depends on the selected course. Generally, for all the UG courses the minimum requirement is that the candidate must have passed class 12 with a minimum 50% aggregate and for AMU PG courses admission, 50% in graduation is required.

Yes, Aligarh Muslim University admission to most of the courses is based on CUET scores. Admission to AMU undergraduate courses including  BSc (Hons.) Community Science, BA (Hons/Research), BVoc in Production Technology, Polymer and Coating Technology and Fashion Design & Garment Technology and BSc (Hons/Research) is completely based on valid Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) scores. From the academic session 2022, all the central universities along with a few state-deemed universities and private universities started accepting CUET scores for admission to their UG and PG courses. 

In terms of placements, AMU has maintained a good record for Law courses. As per the NIRF report 2023, the highest median package offered during 2022 placements was INR 12.30 LPA and was made to BA LLB students. During the AMUEEE application process, the candidates will have to pay the required fee online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. The AMUEEE application fee is INR 1000. No other mode of payment will be accepted by the authorities. If the candidates submit the application form after the final date, then they will have to pay an additional late fee of INR 1300. Without the fee payment, the authorities will not accept the AMUEEE application form.

AMU CUET Counselling registration process is carried out in online mode. Only the students shortlisted or selected are eligible to register for counselling. Eligible students can visit the AMU official website (amucontrollerexams.com or counselling.amuonline.ac.in) to apply with CUET rank for the desired programme. During registration, a login ID and password is generated for further procedure. The registration fee for the same is made available on the official website.
