ANUPGCET which is also known as Acharya Nagarjuna University Common Entrance test is a gateway for admissions to the post-graduation courses offered at Acharya Nagarjuna University and its affiliated colleges in the state.

Acharya Nagarjuna University- Guntur conducts ANUPGCET 2018 entrance exam for admission to various Post Graduate courses in the fields of Sciences, Humanities & Social Science, Commerce, Education & Teaching, Languages and other PG Diploma courses.

This year the exam was conducted on May 5 & 7, 2017 and the results and rank cards were released in the last week of May 2017 after which the counselling process commenced for all the courses. 

ANUPGCET 2018 exam dates will be announced soon. 

The admissions department of Acharya Nagarjuna University has set a few guidelines that are mandatory to be fulfilled by a candidate which is seeking admissions to the post graduate courses offered at the university and its affiliated colleges. 

Eligibility as per Educational Qualification 

The candidates seeking to the MA in Journalism and Mass Communication programmes will have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria in order to seek admission to their choice of courses at Acharya Nagarjuna University. The eligibility as per educational qualification states that the candidate will have to be a graduate in any stream from a recoganised University, with a minimum of 40-50% marks in the qualifying examination. 

Eligibility as per reservations

Admission to various courses of study offered at ANU will be made on the basis of merit and are subjected to the following criteria of reservations.

Local Candidates: 85% of the available seats in each category in each of the course are reserved in favor of the local candidates belonging to the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam.

Candidates claiming reservation under this category shall enclose appropriate attested Form I or II or III or IV given Annexure-A. The attested copy of the certificate shall be required at the time of counseling.

The allotment of seats under this category will be done as per:“G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education Dept.,

Statutory Reservations: Candidates belonging to the mentioned categories shall submit their original Caste certificate as issued by M.R.O.:

National Integration: One Extra Seat in each subject is reserved for the students belonging to Other States (Other than Telangana as students of Telangana will be considered as Non-Local).

Note: Candidates claiming Other Category Reservations are required to submit relevant certificates at the time of counseling. Physically Handicapped candidates should submit the certificate of their disability issued by the concerned specialist government doctor (Professor’s rank) / Medical Board.

For implementation of reservations in each subject, A.N.U. College and A.N.U.P.G. Centre are taken as one unit and all the affiliated colleges as one single unit.

For claiming admission under N.C.C and Sports quota the candidates should submit relevant Certificates. The candidates claiming seats under the category of CAP need to produce:

1. Certificate from Zilla Sainik welfare Officer for whose parent(s) are Ex-Service Men

2. Service Certificate for whose parent(s) are still in service

Step 1: Fill Application Form

When seeking for admissions at ANU, the very first step is to apply online for registrations and appear for the entrance examination. Aspirants need to fill the application form for online on the official website. Aspirants are informed that in order to fill the application form for entrance exam for UG course admissions they need to register on admission portal. Applicants need to upload their photograph and scanned signature such that it is maximum of 50 KB in size and is in JPG/ JPEG/ PNG format. The registration fee for UG is the same. Apart from the amount mentioned below, aspirants need to pay additional registration fee for every Course/Programme for which they are applying for the entrance exam.

  • The candidates need to fill the online application form for ANUPGCET 2019.
  • After filling all the fields with the required details, now proceed to the payment option. Click on the online payment option and follow the instructions.
  • It is not required to send the printed copy of application to the ANUDOA.
  • You can preserve it until your admission process is completed.
  • Also the candidate can get a printed copy of application at any time using their Application No as ID and Date of Birth as the Password.

Step 2:  ANUPGCET 2019 Admit Card

After successful registration, the university will issue admit cards to the eligible candidates. These admit cards can be downloaded from the university’s official website.

Step 3: Appear for ANUPGCET 2019 Entrance Test

Now, the candidates will then have to appear for the written test, on the basis of which further admissions process will be conducted. For all UG courses, the university conducts written entrance exam.

Step 4: Check ANUPGCET 2019 Exam Result

The University would be declaring the results for UG entrance exams on the official website. The varsity would also display the result on the notice boards and also on the official website. 

Counselling is the final take after which the seats will be allotted as per the ranks and seat availability. 

Step 5: Class Commencement 

The university will commence with the classes soon after the ANUPGCET 2019 results are announced. 

The candidates will make their choices of test centers at the time of online application submissions. They are requested to mention the center code and name of the choice in their application form. The candidates applying to appear for more than one tests are advised to opt for same test centers otherwise the dates of both the tests may clash.   

The final decision of allotment of the test centers will be taken by the Directorate of Admissions, Acharya Nagarjuna University. 

Acharya Nagarjuna University will conduct ANUPGCET 2019 at three of their test centers in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
