Good infrastructure, corporate relationship but little dissatisfaction about the placements.

Placements: Almost more than 60% of students were placed. Average salary lies in between 4-5 LPA. Companies like Karvy, ICICI bank, Mahindra finance, Jio etc. Are the recruiters. Roles offered are varying in nature depending upon student profile. Internships are common in my course in companies like Amul, Berger paints etc.

I am dissatisfied because of zero placement in 2019.

Placements: Almost 50% of students were placed in our course. The highest salary offered was 1.5 Lacs per month, and the lowest salary offered was 20,000 per month. Teach for India and KV are top recruiting companies visited the campus. Teaching role is offered in our course. The highest salary package offered in our course was 1.8 LPA to 2 LPA. 1% of the students got an internship from our course

Mid range college with no placement.

Placements: No placement, there is no particular placement committee assigned for this process hence the jobs will be taken up by the students themselves who approach companies by themselves in order to get employed. Only a few companies visit the campus due to its remote location. All students have a mandatory subject assigned for the internship.

A review of Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar.

Placements: Placements in our college are moderate. I am still pursuing my course, so I don't know much about the packages offered. According to my seniors, packages offered are not great, and most of the students prefer higher studies rather than doing a job at such low packages. The college has a training and placement cell.

The campus is good but strict. Teachers forced to control the students with which I'm dissatisfied.

Placements: The first batch of civil engineering completed their course yet. At least, 25% of the students would have got placed with the salaries ranging between Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 40,000. Some of the companies that visited the campus are Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel Limited, Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited, Alembic, Assam Gramin Vikash Bank. Our college organizes training sessions for improving teamwork, personality development, etc. All most all kinds of roles were offered to the students. The coll...

An average college with decent placements if you are planning to stay in North East and get an MBA.

Placements: The college offers decent placements for this department, and it can be termed as the best in the region when it comes to ROI. Percentage of placement varies between 85-90 every year. You can expect a CTC of 4 Lacs (approximately). BFSI companies are the main recruiters here.

Overall, this is not that fit for engineering. Think before taking admission here

Placements: It is quite less and hardly 10% students get campus placements. The placement cell is not as strong as expected. Very few companies visit the campus. The package offered is also very low. So many students have to go to the open to seek a job and many feel the need of higher studies.

Except placements, every thing is good.

Placements: No good opportunities are there for campus placement. Only 5 students got placed in campus placements. Many students got placement in off-campus. It seems the college is not willing to bring companies. If you are looking for a college in placement point of view, then this college is not a good choice.

Placements: Placements are below average and packages are very low. Below 20% candidates are placed. The package was less than 1.6lacs. Zaloni and start-up companies visited. Software developer, web developer and BPO are the roles offered. We didn't get any internship from the college.

A fairly arranged university.

Placements: Placed in Ajim Premji Foundation. The career placement cell is active in arranging campus recruitment programs for all disciplines. Patanjali, Wipro and different privatise banks participate in campus recruitment. Due to the remoteness of our university, fewer companies participate in the placement drive. The overall rating can said to be 4/10 in the context of placement.

I have done B.Tech from this college in 2007-11. At that time, the engineering branches of this university were in budding stage. Infrastructure was in developing stage. Faculty was not much experienced. Placements were not there. But after I completed my course, things have improved a lot. The department got its new building. Hostel facility is good now as of what I heard.

The standard of teachers is very low with exception of 1 or 2 of them. Infrastructure is fine, with amenities like Wi-Fi, hostel accommodation, playground etc. It's quite far from the city. Examination department is really lazy. The results of semesters used to get declare sometimes after 6 months. Library is huge, and you will get relevant books for the course. There is some inter department politics as the non-core subjects are taught by teachers of other departments.

The campus facilities provided are poor. The Wi-Fi is available only for the faculty. The faculty is good but the management is a coward. They don’t provide any placements in any of the core industries. The infrastructure is poor and it is like a government hospital. No practical ideas and innovations are taught here. Educational improvements are needed for better development in GIMT.

An average college for Engineering. Lovely environment. Wonderful locality. I got admitted in this college in 2009. Being the pioneer batch of the college, we had to compromise many facilities which my friends are getting in other college. But one thing I have to admit about the special GATE classes. Superb teacher. Super class for it. About placement, being the pioneer, we suffered the most. A few just got through campus.

Placements: 30% of students got placements. The highest package is 6 LPA, and the lowest is 1.5 LPA. The top recruiters are Airtel and Genpact. I don't know whether they got any selections for internships. The roles offered in this course are apprenticeships.
