Bharath University BTech Courses & Fees 2024: Admission Dates & Eligibility

 BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. BIHER offers BTech course in 16 specialisations, namely Aeronautical, Aerospace, Automobile, Civil, Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial Biotechnology, Mechatronics Engineering, etc. Candidates who have completed Class 12 or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can apply for the BTech course. Candidates must pass Class 12 or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate in PCM/ Biology for Bioengineering department. Apart from the regular four-year BTech course, Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research provides lateral entry. BTech (LE) is also available in various specialisations, namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, etc. However, one can also apply for lateral entry after completing the Diploma course. 

The total fee of BTech ranges between INR 6 Lacs and INR 10 Lacs as per an unofficial source. Candidates who have applied for BTech (lateral entry) need to pay a total fee ranging between INR 2.40 Lacs and INR 5.40 Lacs as per an unofficial source. The fee might includes components other than the tuition fee. Candidates are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. The selection to BTech course will be based on BEEE score.  In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Aspirants will also need to pay a registration fee to apply for admission. Candidates can pay the application fee via any of the online payment mode.

BTech (LE) is offered for a duration of three-years to aspirants who have completed Diploma recognised by central or state government with at least 50% aggregate or BSc Mathematics or its equivalent. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria must meet the merit requirement set by the university for admission. The university also BTech (LE) in six specialisations, namely Civil, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering. Admission to BTech (LE) course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. After completing the selection rounds, candidates need to come for counselling and document verification round.
