Not a single company offered a proper job profile and indeed, it is a failure of the placement cell to bring proper companies.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science - Batch of 2027
Offered by Syamaprasad College

Review of Syamaprasad College.
Placements: In my course, many opportunities are provided by the college. As per the previous records 4 out of 10 students get placements. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Most IT companies are visite on campus.
Infrastructure: I'm not in the hostel as I'm a day scholar but many hostels are available near the college premises. Students from there say it's good tidy and affordable. As computer science department works in day section we got to use the annex building. There are 13-14 classes available and 5-6 labs are available. Mostly too small which can't take more than 30 students at a time. But there are 2-3 classrooms which are big enough to take 80-100 students at a time.
Faculty: As the new education system is introduced. There is a lack of book availability and lack of hardware and software requirements. But still, faculty members are managing in a very smooth way. But the new course is so good that it totally makes students industry-ready and all.

I am very happy with all facilities.
Placements: Around 70% of students were placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA and the lowest salary package offered during placement was 2 LPA. Roles were offered quality control analyst.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was available in college. Labs for each department were also available. Separate classrooms were s also available. Library was also available. Auditorium and playgrounds were also available. Hostel had dining room. Food quality was good. Medical facilities were available.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was very good. Their lessons were good for students to industry-ready. Semester exam was moderate. About 90% was the passing rate. Teachers help students in the class.
Other: I choose this course for a secure future. This was very interesting.

B.A. LL.B. - Batch of 2028

The college is quite good, but there is always a scope for improvement, which can benefit all of us.
Placements: Heritage Law College does not offer direct placements, but they help us to connect with various law firms through internships and visits. It is actually quite helpful because through this we can actually get to know the fact that in every place the situation will be different and we should learn to handle that.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. We also get access to Wi-Fi and internet, tha classrooms are also mostly clean. The good thing is that we also get proper access to the library, which is very important for the law students. The hostels can be made much better same goes for the food, but we get much access to sport and games.
Faculty: The faculty of this college is not that appreciable. The teachers don't seem very much active in their teaching, it can be improvise, though we get 5-6 lectures in a week regarding our course. But the exams are quite good, the questions asked are quite relevant and practical based, which is a good thing.

It's best for Bengal, those who know Bengali can go for this college.
Placements: I don't know much about placements, but the college is good. The placement I guess you get from this college is around 1 to 1.5 LPA. Our class has 90 students, and the whole B.Com (Hons) department has about 500 students, so if you're lucky, you may get placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but I don't know much about the hostel. The college provides Wi-Fi, but it doesn't work well as many students use it, around 200-300 students on average, so it's not very useful. The canteen is average, but the library and computer labs are good.
Faculty: The college organizes events and activities, including sports, games, and tournaments. It has a small campus where you can play cricket, football, badminton, and basketball. The college also has union rooms, and it is known for its anti-ragging policies.

Be a Xaverian, Be an achiever.
Placements: (1) Around 89 percent. (2) 1.2 crores, 12 Lacs, and 25 Lacs p.a. (3) Not companies but colleges - Calcutta University, IITs, Bose Institutes, IISERs. (4) 100 percent in the above-mentioned colleges + ISRO. (5) Researcher, practical helping teacher, teacher.
Infrastructure: (1) College Wi-Fi is available, and neat, clean classrooms with projectors, 4 libraries with the best control, and labs for every topic and every course. Friendly assistant teachers for help. (2) Good quality food, TT room present, a large infirmary room, all sports equipment present, and competitions held.
Faculty: (1) Teachers are highly qualified with PhDs from colleges across the globe. Always very eager to help and also very welcoming of doubts. Above all, they are able to convey knowledge to students. (2) Our college was one of the first colleges to adapt to NEP. The lecture plan is made in such a way that students find it easy to study and revise on time. Yes, it also makes students industry-ready due to its exposure to daily activities. (3) Semester exams are a little above average; however, due to excellent teaching, the pass percentage is around 94 percent.
Other: (1) Very logical and reasonable subject with a bright scope in future endeavors. (2) Nothing more, everything is perfect. (3) Xavotsav - a famous event. Every department conducts a yearly fest along with the societies, so the campus is filled with events all year round. Good connectivity as it is in the heart of Kolkata. The campus is quite green with many people, sometimes making it feel like a school. Different clubs and societies promote extracurricular activities like dance, music, acting, drama, etc.

Good faculty but very bad placement procedure.
Placements: Our college lacks a proper placement cell and procedure. Sometimes, a few job fairs are organized by our college, but only a few of our students are able to get any placement offer from there. The highest salary you can expect is 2 to 2.5 LPA. It is better to apply for off-campus jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not so great. The building is old and dusty. The classrooms are small and clumsy. Labs are there, but they lack a few important chemicals. We don't have a library on our campus. There is no hostel in our college, but we have a decent canteen behind our college.
Faculty: The curriculum of our course is really good as it follows the latest syllabus of Calcutta University. The faculty members are also good, but sometimes they are rude to the students. The semester exams in our college are not too hard, but you need to study thoroughly.
