Really good and helpful faculty and teaching staff but not very satisfied with the infrastructure.
Placements: There are not many placement opportunities. It's just study-based. Many students are unemployed after passing or are not happy with whatever they are doing currently for livelihood. In B.Com (H), scopes are high if only students know about that. It would be better if someone opts for CA or such courses after B.Com.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice. There are no hostel facilities even for girls. There are many hostels or PGs nearby for students' accommodation. The lab is quite nice and accessible along with the departmental library where we may get books related to courses. The canteen is also nice but prices are high there so we are less likely to use it.
Faculty: The college faculty is quite helpful. All teachers in our department are very knowledgeable and competent in teaching. They are also very supportive and personally helpful to students. Exams are held every 6 months. The difficulty level is not much. If students study well, they can easily ace exams.

Pretty much decent college.
Placements: Placement for this college is not that good, I would say. I don't remember what percent or number of students got placed last year. Anyways, it's B.Com, so it's fair enough to say that it's a decent college, keeping in mind the college life and the facilities provided.
Infrastructure: The college campus is fair enough large to roam and there's much fresh air to breathe. Moreover, you get good library facilities with updated books. The playgrounds are big enough to play cricket, football, volleyball, and badminton. Also, there's a net provided for volleyball and badminton. Talking about canteen facilities, they are pretty much good with decent taste and are pocket-friendly too. Also, they have Wi-Fi facilities all over the college campus. Classrooms have ACs and enough rooms. Laboratories are well-equipped with enough facilities you need.
Faculty: Teachers here are good. If you want to study, the teacher will teach even if there's one student present for the class. What I've felt is that their faculty members are knowledgeable and know how to teach. Apart from this, be careful if you're choosing BBA over B.Com, because that doesn’t serve much purpose, which people often think while pursuing BBA. So, be thoughtful if you're going for one. Internals are pretty much easy to get, and also, they provide hints so you can score marks. They even don’t pose strict rules for attendance.
Other: If you're thinking of living your college life and enjoying this time period, you can opt for this college, and you won't be disappointed. Even though if you want to pursue higher studies without thinking of the attendance thing, that's also possible in this case, as they don't care about your attendance. They anyways give full marks for that. This thing you may not find in other public or government colleges. They also organize events and fests at their own expense, so students don't have to pay anything extra.

B.A. LL.B. - Batch of 2028

The college is quite good, but there is always a scope for improvement, which can benefit all of us.
Placements: Heritage Law College does not offer direct placements, but they help us to connect with various law firms through internships and visits. It is actually quite helpful because through this we can actually get to know the fact that in every place the situation will be different and we should learn to handle that.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. We also get access to Wi-Fi and internet, tha classrooms are also mostly clean. The good thing is that we also get proper access to the library, which is very important for the law students. The hostels can be made much better same goes for the food, but we get much access to sport and games.
Faculty: The faculty of this college is not that appreciable. The teachers don't seem very much active in their teaching, it can be improvise, though we get 5-6 lectures in a week regarding our course. But the exams are quite good, the questions asked are quite relevant and practical based, which is a good thing.

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) - Batch of 2028

Moderate experience of college.
Placements: Recently, I have been studying, so I don't know about the placement. But I heard that the placement is not that good. People in Computer Science get chances for placements on campus. I don't know about other departments. After all, it's a general degree college, so we can't expect that good of placements at all.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel, but there is a canteen facility where the price of food is very favorable. Momos, burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and french fries are available in the canteen. A gym center is going to open soon, and the sports center is under construction.
Faculty: The faculty members are very friendly and support us whenever we need them. The HOD of our department is a great motivator for students. They are very knowledgeable. Whenever we get stuck in any subject, they are always ready to help us, no matter the time. However, teachers need to improve their teaching skills so that we can learn things more quickly. Maths is not an easy subject, so many students get back in papers, but if they study and follow the teacher carefully, they will pass.
Other: There are not many fests held here. Scholarships are provided. The campus is under construction. The auditorium is ready, and sports facilities and the gym center are still under construction. There are lift facilities for students and teachers. There is also a library (e-books are available too). The location of the college is very good (metro, bus, cars, and everything are available). However, we expect farewell and freshers from our college, but we mostly don’t get them.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the semester exam question papers.
Placements: There are no placements available for the B.Com course in our college. Our college doesn't offer any placement for any student. I think this is the worst thing for us. I think they should offer some placements for the students, as this would be very helpful for us.
Infrastructure: Our college is under Calcutta University. The infrastructure of the college is not so good because it is a government college. Classrooms are not well maintained; some classrooms are so dirty that no one can even sit there. Our library is well maintained, but some books are not available at any time, so I think this problem should be taken seriously.
Faculty: The teachers of our college are very qualified and knowledgeable, and they help us when we need their help in our studies. The teaching quality is okay according to the college standard. But, I think the course curriculum is not so relevant to our future. I think it is much more difficult to pass the semester exams at Calcutta University than at other universities.

Good faculty but very bad placement procedure.
Placements: Our college lacks a proper placement cell and procedure. Sometimes, a few job fairs are organized by our college, but only a few of our students are able to get any placement offer from there. The highest salary you can expect is 2 to 2.5 LPA. It is better to apply for off-campus jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not so great. The building is old and dusty. The classrooms are small and clumsy. Labs are there, but they lack a few important chemicals. We don't have a library on our campus. There is no hostel in our college, but we have a decent canteen behind our college.
Faculty: The curriculum of our course is really good as it follows the latest syllabus of Calcutta University. The faculty members are also good, but sometimes they are rude to the students. The semester exams in our college are not too hard, but you need to study thoroughly.
