    Q:   Is CUH good for M.Sc.?

    A:
    {Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

    M.Sc.: Is CUH good for M.Sc?

    * Pros:
    + Faculty members are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their respective fields.
    + Course curriculum is relevant and industry-ready.
    + Infrastructure is good, with well-maintained labs, libraries, and hostels.
    + Campus life is friendly and culturally diverse.
    + Placement support is satisfactory, with top recruiters like Infosys, TCS, and Samsung.
    * Cons:
    + Placement ratio is average, with only one or two students getting placed.
    + Limited opportunities for direct placements in the M.Sc. course.
    + Some students felt that the professors did not teach everything needed for the course, requiring additional self-study.

    Overall, CUH appears to offer a good environment for studying M.Sc., with knowledgeable faculty, relevant course content, and decent infrastructure. While placements might not be exceptional, students can still leverage the university's connections and skills gained during the programme to secure positions. However, students should be prepared to supplement their learning with additional efforts beyond what is taught in classes.

    Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for M.Sc. students at CUH?

    A:
    {Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

    Summary: The placement cell at CUH provides satisfactory placement support to M.Sc. students. While not exclusively focused on Master's programs, students have reported receiving job offers through the placement cell. Here's a breakdown of the key findings:

    * Job Fair: The placement cell organizes job fairs to connect students with potential employers.
    * Career Counseling: The cell offers career counseling services to help students prepare for the job market.
    * Participation Rate: Around 50-60% of students opt for placements during their time at CUH.
    * Package Details: The highest package offered was INR18 LPA, while the average package was around INR4 LPA, and the lowest was INR3 LPA. Top recruiters included Infosys, TCS, and Samsung.
    * Research Opportunities: Many students choose to pursue research work instead of taking up employment directly after graduation.

    While the placement cell seems to be moderately effective in securing jobs for M.Sc. students, it's essential to note that individual performances vary, and students' choices play a significant role in determining their career paths.

    Excellent support from the faculty in both sports and academics.
    Placements: From the 5th semester, students are eligible for campus placement and internships. Our placement cell and clubs use to call different companies for placements, many companies like Reliance, etc. came here. More than 50 percent get placed. After my degree, I will go for a master's degree.
    Infrastructure: Hostel fee is according to semester-wise. The 1st-semester fee of the hostel is 7000, and after that, every semester you have to pay 3000. There are 2 messes for boys and 2 messes for girls, which are separately made. At the end of every month, you have to pay a mess fee. The room is in good condition, with Wi-Fi facilities. You can occupy rooms with 2 students or 3 students according to your choice. You have to register for the hostel every year. And the students who get good marks in academics can get the rooms in hostels for boys. Girls can easily get the hostels. PGs are also available outside the campus at a very low cost.
    Faculty: Faculty is in enough number to engage classes without any interruption. The faculty I have liked the most is our principal sir Mr. Patil, who is a big encouragement for the students. He grants all the needs a student and a faculty wants. The faculty I dislike is our sports sir Mr. Patil. He has a complex of comparison between students and only sees his profit out of our results and doesn't support us for anything, although I have made achievements in my sport.

    Good quality of rooms in any hostel, whether for girls or boys.
    Placements: The placement scenario is a crucial aspect of career development for every student. As an M.Sc. Chemistry student, I have 4 semesters, so I am eligible for placements from the 3rd semester. Some companies visit my college. The average package for my course is 300,000. Almost 65 to 70% of students get placed in this college, as per my knowledge. My plan after this degree is to look for a job.
    Infrastructure: The hostel facility is good but is only provided for merit students, not for all, since our university has fewer hostels. I would say in a class of 50 to 60 students, only 7 will get a hostel room, and the remaining students will have to make other arrangements. They provide proper electricity, and in each room, you will be sharing with 3 students with three beds, study table, and personal almirah. As for food, I would say it’s not good; since I am from the southern part of India, we prefer non-veg, and here on campus, non-veg is restricted. The registration process is merit-based. Out of 100 students, they only provide hostel rooms for 10 to 20 students, and the rest struggle a lot.
    Faculty: I enrolled in an M.Sc. Chemistry course at Haryana University. I would like to share my thoughts about the curriculum in terms of relevance. The course curriculum strikes a good balance between both practical and theoretical knowledge. The academic syllabus also helps in gaining knowledge of real-world applications. I think they need to improve to align with trends in current technology.

    Great infrastructure and good facilities .
    Placements: The university has great placements and packages, and also a simple placement process. 80 percent of students are placed in internships, and the top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, ISRO, etc. The top roles are research analyst and research expert, and the highest and lowest average is between 10 to 5 LPA.
    Infrastructure: Great facilities are available in the university, and the hostels are good with quality food. The hostels are under CCTV surveillance, ensuring girls' safety, and they are well-encouraged. The labs and library are useful, and medical emergency services are also available.
    Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, and the teaching quality is good. The teachers are helpful to students in all aspects, and the course curriculum is relevant, making the students ready for the industry. The semesters are tough, and the pass percentage is above 80.

    Waste of money, time and talent.
    Placements: No internship, no placement—they're just interested in polishing their own medals and badges of guiding M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. The placement drive occurs 1-2 times a year, and even then, the ratio of placement is like one out of 40-50 people, with only M.Sc. students getting placed. Other courses, like B.Voc. RLM, have good placements around 25-30K per month. But other than that, it's just a scam with occasional leeching off students who got placed on their own. To summarize, it's nothing more than a parasitic nature of administration.
    Infrastructure: Over 80% of students during the 3-year course were coming from other states, and despite that, the number of students allotted hostel rooms was only about 20% of those. On top of that, students are treated like prisoners by being blamed for all the damages and thefts. They say it is not the responsibility of the guards or wardens but rather the students' responsibility to take care of the items installed.
    Faculty: Nobody is interested in teaching—they just make presentations and read or show PDFs of books and read. It’s even worse when they give you whole chapters as assignments to write down on your own. Grading is completely biased towards prioritizing local students over those coming from other states.
    Other: The crowd around seems to have a sense of supremacy over everything and constantly chases girls coming from other states. If anyone tries to interfere, they charge into their hostel rooms and beat them, while the guards are wandering around.

    My experience was good and I was satisfied with the available facilities in my department.
    Placements: There is a placement cell, but most of the students opt for research work. The majority of the students were placed in good institutions for their respective dissertations. The placement cell can be improved, which can provide students with increased career opportunities.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the department is quite good, with all the required facilities. The hostel facilities are affordable, the dispensary is good and is open 24 hours a day, and the sports facilities can be improved. The food is good and they take care of nutrition as well.
    Faculty: The faculty is good, experienced and helpful. I think the curriculum can be improved by making it more oriented towards competitive examinations so it can help students. The semester exam tasks questions from the syllabus itself and the majority makes it through it.
    Other: There can be more extracurricular activities on campus.

    The faculty is good and helpful.
    Placements: Almost 90% of students passed the course. But there was no placement in my department, particularly for my course. Students have to do internships as part of their thesis in the final semester. Most of the students joined research, and some went for higher studies. Some even diverted to different fields, like management.
    Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped. Hostels are fine. Wi-Fi is available on university campuses and in hostels too. The food quality in the hostel is also good. But the university lacks some cafeterias or canteens for students to eat and drink. Also, a bus facility should be included if it is not from the hostel to the university campus.
    Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant to the practical world, industries, and research. Teachers are qualified and are always willing to help their students. The semester exam level is above moderate, with a focus on testing real-world-based problems.
    Other: Basic grocery shops and a salon should be nearby to facilitate everyone living at the university.
