Review of Central University of Karnataka.
Placements: My department, public Administration does not provide placements. Other departments have some number of placements like the MBA department students get placements after completing their course. I have some senior friends from the MBA department, and he told me that from their class, about 12 students got placements in some companies. However, others did not get placements. It would be great if the university works on placements.
Infrastructure: The Central University of Karnataka is very far from the main town, but the infrastructure is good. It is good because the university is also new. It was inaugurated in 2009. Now we are in the Science Block boys' hostel, I think this hostel is temporary because 10 of us are staying in one room. It is very crowded and we do not have privacy. In the main hostel, four members are there in one room, which is good. The main hostels are very far from departments, and mostly, students should go by walk. Sometimes, the bus will come and pick up students from the hostel.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members at Central University of Karnataka are good. They are supportive. If students have any doubts regarding anything, they can ask faculty members and they will try to help us. Especially, my department, public administration, and faculty members are great. They teach us well. They will become a mentor for our lifetime if we listen to them.

A good university with a good campus, infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: When I was studying my UG at the same university, I saw two batches in MBA who passed out recently. My seniors got placements in different companies with the highest salary package of 5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA. Around 30% of students get campus placements. This year, they increased the intake from 30 to 60.
Infrastructure: Facilities in the department and hostel are good. There is a strong Wi-Fi connection for every student. The food provided by them is average. In every hostel, there is a pure filtered water supply. Medical facilities are also provided for emergencies. There is a university health center. The university provides facilities for sports like football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, badminton, table tennis, a gym, etc.
Faculty: The quality of teachers is better in my opinion. They have good qualifications in their subjects. The subjects they planned or arranged for my course are in a better manner in which they have researched and taken a good decision. Before the semester exams, they conduct two internal exams. Exams are standard in which our minimum mark for passing shows we attain a minimum quality in that particular subject.
Other: I chose an MBA at Central University after completing my UG in BBA from the same university. My life was better, so I chose my PG here only. The campus is very eco-friendly but a little struggle is there in summer.

It's not that bad option for a degree, really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: I was a student of BSc PCM 2021-2024 batch. The truth is none of my classmates got any placement through the campus placement cell. The placement cell mainly focusing on MBA students. Almost the students in my batch decided to go for post graduate studies.
Infrastructure: It's a 2009 established university. There for the facilities and the infrastructure are really good. 24/7 available WiFi in classroom, library and hostels. Library available from 9 AM to 9 PM. Hostel rooms can accomodate 6-10 students in a room. There will be 2 common washrooms are available in each floor. And I'm really disappointed about the mess food. Many students have got health issues due to having food from mess.
Faculty: I have studied a triple main course. Therefore teachers of these three subjects have to come to our department for teaching us. Physics department have really good teacher who knows the subject very well. Maths department also have good teachers . But the chemistry department is really kind of disappointment. We have got all the facilities are contractual. And some of them don't know anything about the subject. The syllabus is not that hard. And the exam question papers are prepared by our teachers only. And 40% should get to pass the exams.
Other: I was really confused about the subject to choose for my career .That's why I choose triple main course. Therefore I can take time and find out which is my favourite and can go for post-graduation in that specific subject. What I was really enjoyed during my campus life was the fest. Each department would conduct a fest every year. That's really fun and joyful. I really enjoyed time with my friends.

Central university of Karnataka .
Placements: A nice percentage of students can get placed in top companies in India, around 75%. The highest and the lowest packages offered to my course are 12 lakhs to 4 lakhs per year. The percentage of student internships in this course is always greater than 60% in this course.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in my course are so good. Wi-Fi, classrooms, as well as a library, are present in my college. The food quality made in my college canteen is so good. Medical facilities are not present in my college. Sports are available in my course.
Faculty: Teachers in this course are so helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. All teachers have greater teaching quality. This course is curriculum-relevant, and students are industry-ready. Semester exams in this course are so easy; therefore, the pass percentage is 80% in this course.
Other: I chose this course for getting economics knowledge. There is no wish to improve. Scholarships are available. Extracurricular activities happen.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of lab facilities, average infrastructure, and poor facilities.
Placements: As of now, none of our seniors have received placement opportunities, but some of our super seniors got placed in coaching institutes and some in foundations, such as the Azim Premji Foundation. The placement rate is less than 50%. The packages offered ranged from around 2.5 to 6 lakhs. Top recruiting companies include Shri Gurukula Academy, and Avanti Fellows, and the top roles offered are Academic Mentor, Programme Associate, etc. Almost 90% of students have to search for internship opportunities outside the campus on their own because our department has no infrastructure for in-house opportunities.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good, but the lab facilities are pathetic. Most of the time, there are no chemicals or equipment. 80% of lab equipment needs repair. At the Master's level, we need individual practical engagement, but they are not providing the basic stuff to do that. The library is good but has a very limited number of books. The hostel is poor; washrooms are very dirty, and there is a water shortage every week. The food is hygienic, but no proper management.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are very helpful, but some do not care at all. They just want to complete the syllabus but are not cooperative. Teaching quality, except for one or two teachers, is very poor. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry if the department focuses on students' lab experiments and not just theory. The semester exam difficulty level is average, and the passing percentage is more than 95%.
Other: I chose this course because it aligns with the CSIR NET syllabus. I hope that in the upcoming years, lab facilities will improve, and faculty members will become more serious. There is one annual fest (ANKUR), and other than that, there are no social gatherings.

My Life in CUK: Satisfied to an Extent but at the Same Time Dissatisfied
Placements: Almost 95% are placed somewhere in accordance with their specialization area under the course. The lowest package could be 15,000, and the highest could be 60,000 or more. The three specializations have different recruiters and top institutions. Almost all students were placed in internships in both the 3rd and 4th semesters. Roles include Ph.D. positions, corporate jobs, NGO collaborations, project managers, and more.
Infrastructure: The facilities are average. There are classrooms with projectors, smart learning options, and Wi-Fi connections. However, the library facilities are poor due to short library hours. The library closes at 5:30 PM, and this is when we could issue books, as it remains closed until 9 PM, which is also the hostel timing. Hostel life is poor, with low-quality food and poor accommodation. The hostel timings are rigid. The canteen is a relief from the mess food. The health center is well-equipped with paracetamol and O2 for student issues. Sports and games are given importance, with a ground for various sports and a gym for athletes. There's also a multipurpose hall for indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and helpful, with 3 professors, 3 assistant professors, and 2 contractual faculty members. Their teaching qualities are good. The course curriculum is partially relevant, as fieldwork experiences are lacking. The course should prioritize weekly fieldwork, but there is no such practice on campus. The semester exams are easy, with an average pass mark around 25%, though I am not sure.
Other: I am interested in working in social work, especially in an industrial setting. I would like to prioritize fieldwork and internships. There are many events, with 20 departments each conducting a fest every month. An annual cultural and sports competition is held among the 6 schools under which the departments are organized.
