A: 

No, admission to all the courses is through entrance exams. For various courses such as MSc, MBA, BSc, BVoc, and Diploma courses, admission is through an in-house entrance exam: CUSAT CAT. Q:   Is Class 12 marks considered for CUSAT?

A: 

Yes, CUSAT considers Class 12 score for admission to UG courses. Aspirants need to qualify a minimum of Class 12 to apply for a UG course at CUSAT. Below are some of the CUSAT UG programme along with their Class 12 requirement:

Q:   Is entrance exam required for BSc at CUSAT?

A: 

Yes, CUSAT conducts Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test for providing admission to Integrated BSc-MSc courses. Based on CUSAT CAT result, rank list is prepared after completion of CUSAT CAT. The CUSAT CAT examination is a computer-based test (CBT) test conducted for a duration of 3 hours. The syllabus of CUSAT CAT includes chapters and topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics that are relevant from the examination point of view. CUSAT CAT syllabus is of Class 11 and Class 12 standard.

    Q:   Which entrance exam is taken to get admission in BTech at CUSAT?

    A: 

    Candidates wishing to apply for CUSAT BTech course must pass CUSAT CAT exam. The exam authorities conducts the CUSAT CAT 2025 for a duration of three hours, and the exam is conducted in online mode (a computer-based test). It is advised to the candidates to check the CUSAT CAT exam pattern before starting their preparation process. CUSAT exam pattern also helps candidates boost their scores and helps with time management during exam preparation. Candidates who will appear for the exam must refer to the CUSAT 2025 syllabus for their preparations.

    Q:   How can I get admission in BTech in CUSAT?

    A: 

    CUSAT admission to BTech course is based on CUSAT CAT score. The university also conducts a Lateral Entry Test (LET) to select candidates for BTech (LE) courses. LET is a three-hour test including 200 objective-type questions designed to test proficency in English, Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Graphics and General Engineering.

    The university selects candidates for BTech (PT) courses based on merit in the last qualifying exam and admission test conducted by the department. CUSAT also considers the number of years of experience of candidates after obtaining the diploma.

    Q:   What is the expected CUSAT CAT 2024 cutoff?

    A: 

    Cochin University of Science and Technology admission 2024 to MBA course is based CUSAT MBA 2024 scores. As per the previous year's CUSAT MBA cutoff 2023, the overall cutoff for MBA for All India quota is 83, whereas for Home State Quota, it is 73. In 2022, the overall CUSAT MBA cutoff stood at 76 for All India and at 64 for Home State Quota for the General category students. 

    Looking at the past year trends, candidates seeking admission to CUSAT for MBA must score between 73 and 83 for All India and betwen 64 and 76 for Home State Quota.
