    Good course and good exposure
Placements: Almost 70% of students get placements. The rest pursue PhD. Highest package is 22 LPA, lowest package is 5 LPA, and the average package is 8 LPA. Top recruiters: Novartis, Ford, Federal Bank, Accenture, etc. Students are recruited as Biostatisticians, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, etc.
Infrastructure: The Department of Statistics provides great infrastructure with fully air-conditioned rooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, fully equipped labs, and libraries. The hostels are decent with cheap rent and full facilities. The quality of food is good. There is a big canteen in the middle of the campus. Medical facilities are provided for all students. For those looking for sports and games, it's a good option. There is almost every game has its own club. You can learn and develop your skills.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is high compared to other universities. Teachers are very helpful and supportive. Statistics is a relevant course. You have great opportunities after MSc Statistics. Semester exams are moderate, neither difficult nor easy. Almost every student easily passes their exams.
Other: I chose this course for learning more about statistics and to get a better job. The total number of students in this course is 15. So the class vibe is not like the usual college. Events and fests occur once a week. The campus is fully packed with a lot of students from different departments, so the arts and games are more fun and competitive. Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is in the heart of Kochi. There is a metro station called CUSAT Metro Station, which ensures great connectivity. CUSAT engages in extracurricular activities. There is a club for future entrepreneurs to showcase their skills and ideas.

The dream come true The CUSAT.
Placements: We don't have placements, the students who are willing to take this course rather will do Ph.D. or they do any skill Development courses and secure a job. We don't have any kind of placements for this course. We will get opportunity for Ph.D. because CUSAT is well known for its syllabus .
Infrastructure: We have a great hostel facility with minimum rent here, the rent for one month is just 320 rupees and the mess is okay for just 3000 per month. Hostel has the basic facilities like canteen, Wi-Fi, study rooms etc. Hostel has table tennis court, badminton ground, football ground and all.
Faculty: The teachers and facilities of CUSAT is just wow, all are well trained and qualified and very helpful. In CUSAT the faculty members which takes class are also making the question paper so it's easy to ask important topics and ask doubts about it. We should get 23 marks out of 50 in internals and external exam.
Other: I just love Chemistry and this course makes the love for it worth it. I just want to better the placement opportunities of this course and it will be top notch.

Joined here this year. Of course college is not up to level of IISERs or NITs.
Placements: Placements are comparatively less in integrated M.Sc. . programmes. It focus mainly on research. Anyhow some of (about45-50 percent) are placed in some of industries. And some go for Ph.D. to recognised universities. Eventhough it is five year course, some of them study till three year here ( till B.Sc)and do M.Sc. . in IITs or IISERS. Here most often self study is the thing which exist.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are worth. Actually the hostel feels are very less. Monthly rent is 330Rs for General and OBC category students and for Sc/St students, there is no hostel rent. For first year students the hostel facilities are excellent. But after first year, they are alloted to hostel with no much hostel facilities. Mess is available at hosyel and mess food is average. There are two canteens in hostel and are average. Thete is one primary medical clinic present at hostel. Varieties of sports and games are present at hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified but most often self study is done here. Curriculum is relevant and we can choose minor courses according to our wish. Most teachers are supportive and helps most often when we seek advice. Semester exams are average and pass percentage is about 80.
Other: Fests are held by various departments and extracurricular activities are held according to the various days.

Our college gives good value for money with great placements.
Placements: A good percentage of students get placed in our college and few go for Ph.D. Around 40% of students got placed in 2018 and about 60% of students went for higher studies. Every student gets an internship at the same place during this course.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are available in our college like projectors in classrooms, very good labs, and satisfying Wi-Fi in the department. Hostels are good and serve good food. It provides facilities like a washing machine and indoor and outdoor sports. Wi-Fi provided in the hostel is not good. Labs are good. The library consists of a lot of reference books and is a very good place to study.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are well qualified with Ph.D. abroad. The course curriculum is vast and relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Exams are moderate. Every student passes semester exams.
Other: I chose this course because photonics is an emerging subject with a lot of potentials. The best thing about our course is that it is a very demanding course. Wi-Fi facilities should be improved on campus.

Review of CUSAT - Cochin University of Science and Technology.
Placements: There is no placement cell because companies have stopped coming to our department since 2018 because most students were going for higher studies like Ph.D., M.Tech., MS, etc. Most students are working in different parts of India and foreign countries, except for some who have diverted from the field. Students are working as scientists, professors, and engineers. Interested students can go for internships if they get the chance. The department encourages it.
Infrastructure: UG labs are not that good, especially electronics labs, but photonics, optics, and laser labs are good, air-conditioned, and well-maintained. The condition of Wi-Fi is also not that good. You won't get range in the classrooms. The department library is very good. You get all the books that are required for the course. The university library is also good. Classrooms are manageable. All classrooms have projectors, whiteboards, etc. Government hostels are available based on your distance from the university. The facilities in hostels are average. Wi-Fi is available, but only at a speed of 100 kbps. The mess is controlled by students. Only Kerala-style food is available in the hostel mess, but you get good-quality food at a low price from the canteen. Medical facilities are available. Sports and games facilities are also available.
Faculty: All faculty members are highly qualified. Some of them were teachers at IISC, IIST, and IIT. The only problem is that some of the visiting faculty members are not very good. They are well qualified, but their teaching quality is not good. All professors and assistant professors are great. The course curriculum is very good. The department updates the syllabus every two years based on current industrial requirements. The difficulty level of semester exams is average. There is a good pass percentage.
Other: I chose this course because it is in an emerging field, and I am interested in research. The experience and connections you get from the university are wonderful and wide.

Find some other college to study.
Placements: There were no placements in our college. None of our seniors got placed in the college placements, and now, they are jobless. Some of them were changed to other courses after completing this course. Most of them are bank employees now. Better find some other college as this is a waste course. None of the roles was offered to the placed students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities of our college are good. Hostel facilities are average. There are no Wi-Fi and medical facilities. Library in the college was good. The canteen in our college is also good. There are a lot of infrastructure related issues. Quality of labs is poor. There are sports and games. Classrooms are good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were not at all helpful and qualified. Some of them don't know anything about the subject. There is no industry exposure. No special teaching methods are used to teach. The student to faculty ratio is very low. Teaching quality is also poor.
