DU LLM Eligibility & Highlights 2024
The University of Delhi offers a full-time LLM programme of two to three years duration at the postgraduate level. This course is offered by Faculty of Law under DU. University of Delhi LLM admission is conducted in online mode and for final selection, candidates are required to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the university. CUET PG exam is conducted by NTA and considered by DU to grant admission to this course. Find below DU LLM eligibility criteria:
Candidates need to complete a three or five-year LLB degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognised as equivalent by DU with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for OBC-NCL/ PwD/ CW and 40% aggregate for SC/ ST) or equivalent can apply for LLM course.
Candidates securing the marks prescribed above or appearing in the qualifying degree examination or awaiting the results of any such examination are eligible to appear in the LLM Entrance Test but the admission will depend on their securing the minimum eligibility marks prescribed above.

Step 2: Entrance Exam/ Selection
University of Delhi accepts CUET PG score for admission to LLM course. The faculty of Law conducts LLM Entrance Test in online mode for a duration of two hours for shortlisting aspirants for LLM admission. The test paper will consist of one question paper containing 100 objective-type questions with multiple choice answers relating to English Language Comprehension, Analytical Abilities, Legal Awareness and aptitude, and General Knowledge.
Step 3: Counselling
All admissions will be made after physical/ online counselling. The shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. Candidates need to bring below documents for verification:
- Admission Ticket LLM Entrance Test
- Age Certificate (High School/ Matriculation)
- Character Certificate (not older than six months on the date of admission)
- Degree Certificate (Provisional Certificate if applicable) of qualifying degree examination
- Marksheet of the qualifying degree examination
- Scheduled Caste/Tribe/EWS & OBC non-creamy layer) /PwD/CW certificate. Non-creamy layer certificate must be of the current financial year or as directed by the Admission Committee of the University of Delhi
- Eight passport size photographs
- Printout of original registration form submitted for registration of admission of LLM
- Any other document as notified on the university website
