Q:   How is CUET UG cut off calculated?

    A:

The CUET UG cut off is determined by CUET participating universities seperately. Parameters on the basis of which CUET UG cut off is released are:

    • Total number of candidates that appeared for the CUET UG exam
    • The number of seats offered by the participating universities through CUET UG
    • The difficulty level of the CUET exam
    • Overall performance of the test takers (pass percentage/ score range, etc.)

CUET cut off is based on the percentile of the candidate. To calculate the CUET percentile following formula is applied:

100*Number of candidates appeared in the session with a raw score is equal to or less than a candidate/ total number of candidates appeared for CUET UG.

Review of Acharya Narendra Dev College, University of Delhi.
Placements: There are very few placements. I would say not even 10% get placed. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA and the average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Only core companies come and that too in the teaching industry. Role offered is assistant teacher.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility available in colleges under Delhi University. Hostels are available in very few colleges and that too for a limited number of students, for example, Miranda House. So, one has to stay in PGs. Mess quality in Delhi is very bad and will not satisfy your hunger.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, but they don't help students understand concepts. Course curriculum does not make students industry-ready. Students have to gain skills if they want an industry job. Semester exams are very easy and all questions are from previous years.
Other: I chose it just because of its brand name. There are no events, no fests, no extracurricular activities. It is just an academics-based college.

Shivaji College (Delhi University) is a great off-campus college.
Placements: There are not many placements for our specific course, but the college does have an internship and placement cell. Many students secure placements every year. In recent years, our senior got a 24 LPA package from the B.A. Programme course. Overall, the college provides decent internship and placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is excellent. The newly opened Jijabai Block has advanced laboratories for all science departments, all equipped with air conditioning. The building also has a functional lift. The older building is well-maintained with proper cleaning and all necessary facilities. Canteen is hygienic, with the food at an affordable price. There are RO water facilities throughout the college. There is also a coffee point where you can relax and chat with friends. Next to the college, there is a medical facility that offers free services and supplies medication. Sports ground is large and well-maintained. There are a variety of games, including table tennis, football, volleyball, basketball, and other indoor games.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly knowledgeable and easy going. They are very helpful and easy to communicate with. The quality of teaching is excellent. Course curriculum is up to date, according to the latest education policy. Semester exams are well-coordinated and conducted with proper discipline and strictness.
Other: I chose this course because of its flexibility, which will be beneficial in the upcoming years or when I pursue my master's. Events and fests are organized every year with well-maintained crowds and excellent facilities to maintain them. Extracurricular activities are also great with many options like drama, fashion, debating, dance, and many other societies.

Yes I am dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: I have generally not heard about placements from my department students who try for IIT JAM and other field jobs. some go for UPSC government exams students come here to do coaching and other curricular activities which develop their personality physically as well as mentally.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is okok not too good mostly washrooms GATE doesnot have latch. Library is fine and canteen requires cleanliness also the classroom are cheated as in summer there in no proper ventilation and fans working, also no edu comp classes held.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you are regular usually students study just for the sake of exams, not seriously and most of the teachers focus on the quick covering of the syllabus In the end students have to study on their own. Stone hardly managed to pass due to their carelessness.
Other: There are a lot of groups in our batch. No fest no alumni, not good crowd students are much involved in politics.

Review of Shyam Lal College, University of Delhi.
Placements: I don't know how many students from my course are placed because there is no faculty member to inform us about placements for my course. Companies do come, but I think students are not interested in that. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. I am not sure which top companies are coming for recruitment, but I think around 10% of students from my course got placed during the 2020-2023 session. I believe companies come to recruit computer science students, but for my course, I don't think any companies have come for recruitment.
Infrastructure: There is good infrastructure in our course/department. Our classroom has fans, good quality furniture and desks, and is well-cleaned. In our practical room, there is excellent equipment for conducting practicals, along with the best teachers for practical sessions. In the computer lab, fast 4G Wi-Fi is available for students and lab is equipped with computers and desktops, all in operable condition with keyboards.
Faculty: Our couse teachers are very helpful and well-qualified for teaching us. Their interaction with students is good, and they are knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. Course curriculum is very relevant to our studies and is designed to boost the level of students' learning. Curriculum prepares students for the industry and development. Exams are generally moderate to tough and pass percentage is approximately 90%. Some students, but failed or had to reappear for exams.
Other: I chose this course to boost my knowledge, and I love studying electronics and physics. I aim to excel in my scores. In our college, there are many events held throughout the year, such as the research party and visual event held at the end of October. There is also the second-semester event, an official college party organised by the student union for students in the month of April.

Lady Shri Ram College for Women. The magic to our life.
Placements: Around 70% - 80% of students are placed in my course. The highest salary package is 18 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges from 7 LPA - 8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies in my course are Deloitte, EY, Axis Bank, ZS Associates, Wipro, Teach for India, and many more. About 50%-70% of students got internships in various companies. Top roles include data analyst, business analyst, software developer, research analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for my department are adequate, but the Wi-Fi network is poor sometimes. Classrooms are digital and equipped with projectors, with available seats and tables. Labs have more laptops than number of students, so there is no difficulty in accessing them. The library is also digital, making it easy for students to search for the books they need. This year, in 2024, the hostel is undergoing renovation and will be much better than previous years. Hostel facilities are good, and the quality of food is top-notch. The mess and canteen are super hygienic. Medical facilities are also good, with medical staff always available, and medicines are provided. LSR bathrooms also have pad vending machines, which is very convenient, especially because it is a women’s college. Sports and games are highly active, and all the essential equipment for sports and games is available. The playground and basketball court are quite big.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are all PhD degree holders from top institutions in our country. Teaching quality is excellent. Course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams in the college depend on the student's level of hard work. If students are studying sincerely, it is quite easy, but if the student is not, it might be hard. The pass percentage is 63%.
Other: I chose this course because I am passionate about problem-solving and analyzing. The best thing about my course is the research opportunities. Everything is perfect, with no need for improvement. Events and fests are the best things at LSR. They are colorful and vibrant, bringing joy to both students and faculty. LSR's surroundings are green and fresh, and it can also be termed a biological garden. Scholarships at LSR depend on the department and the type of scholarship they provide. Extracurricular activities are given separate time, which is very good. Extracurricular activities at LSR are very active, depending on the types of activities.

Absolutely dissatisfied by administration, bad infrastructure, good library.
Placements: The college does not provide placements, but some internship opportunities are available during the college years. However, the number of internship opportunities is also very low.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not that good. The classrooms are under tin shades and do not have air conditioning. Wi-Fi is not available throughout the campus, only in the library and labs. The library is good, with many useful books and magazines. The college does not provide hostel facilities.
Faculty: The teaching staff are good; however, the course is completely theoretical and doesn't provide any practical or hands-on experience. This makes it difficult for students to get industry-ready. If you want to pursue a career in this field, you'll need to continue your studies, as the course basically prepares you for teaching or research. The semester system has exams in June and December, with a passing grade of 40%. The difficulty level is moderate.
Other: I needed a mathematics course and at that time the ranking of the college was also good. I was getting this in the first cutoff round so I selected it. I wish college should improve infrastructure.
