Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University- mother university.

Placements: The placements in DBATU is not so good in which every student struggles for the good campus placement. The history of DBATU campus placement was breathtaking. Half of the electronics class students were selected in good companies having the great package. Today's reality is that there are few more companies coming to the university and select 2 or 3 student which is very sad for the students in DBATU.

It has the poor placement and average faculty.

Placements: The remote location of the campus does not attract a lot of companies to come in the campus. The placements for software branches are optimistic as compared to the electrical branch. The core companies visiting the campus are very few. More than 50% of the batch (of core branches) remains unplaced.

Everything is good except placements.

Placements: To be very honest the placement rate is very low. Only 30% of the students got placed in the campus selections. The highest salary offered will be around 1-2 lakhs per annum usually. Only 3-4 companies visited the campus. Roles like assistant manager, consultant, management trainee, etc., were offered. Local companies visited the campus.

Life in BATU is much challenging and the faculty is helpful.

Placements: On-campus placements are poor, but most of the students get the job through off-campus. Some of the past recruiters have been JSW, Cognizant, IBM etc. Most of the students try for higher studies like M.Tech, MS. Also, since the university has been deemed the status of central university hopefully, the placement records will go high in the coming years. Remote location from metropolitan cities, poor connectivities, temporary placement cells are the probable reasons for the poor placements. ...

Considering a government college, it is worth the money but needs many changes in all aspects

Placements: Being a state university, placements can be more from this campus. But in reality, placements are very less. 10 years ago, the placement was very nice. But now, it is nothing in comparison to the past and there are no internships conducted here.

I am not satisfied with the college, because of the bad placements in the college.

Placements: The placement in the college is very good. Only some software and electronic companies visit the college for recruitment. Most of our seniors don't get placed in the college. But last year, some core company of the mechanical department visited the college and recruited some of the students. The average salary offered is about Rs. 2.5 lakhs. The students have to do an internship on their own.

I am satisfied because of the infrastructure & dissatisfied because of the faculty & placements.

Placements: The placements of our college are very weak or poor, hardly 5-6 students of each class are placed. Only 10-15% students are placed. A few companies visited the college. The students do all arrangments related to gathering on Shivajayanti, Ambedkar Jayanti. 5-10% of the students got internships from the college. The minimum salary of Rs. 10,000-15000 and the average starting salary of Rs. 20,000-30,000 are offered.

Excellent faculty for B.Tech mechanical engineering. Food is a bit challenging.

Placements: Placements are bit of an issue as the percentage of placed students is quite less. The average salary offered was around 3.5 Lacks per annum. The companies that visited for recruitment include Technoforce, Maxwell, palladium, 3d PLM, Rajasthan Powergen transformer Pvt. LTD, Sudarshan Chemicals, Torrent Power, Persistent, Berger paints, etc.

If not planning for a job, but for higher studies, then go for it.

Placements: Dr BATU has very low placement records. It doesn't have a full-time training and placement head. From electrical engineering department, only 5-6 students were placed. The companies visiting the campus have dropped down since the establishment. Students that were already placed are hardly getting packages of 4-5 lakh per annum.

DBATU - Developing personalities.

Placements: The placement scenario is not satisfactory. Only 10-15% of the students placed by the campus interview. As it is a rural area, it affected the placements, but now as it became a state-affiliated university, the placements might improve. From the last few years persistence, Palladium, 3 DPLM, Sudarshan Chemicals, Torrent Power, Berger paints, JSW, Rajasthan Powergen Transformer Pvt. LTD, Deepak Fertilisers, etc., are the companies came to the campus placement.

It's good but needs to be improved to maintain and improve it's status.

Placements: The placements provided by the university were less in this year. It was nearly zero in the whole crowd. There is no awareness about the placements until the final year. The college does not provide internships.

State university - Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University.

Placements: One of the worse sides of the university. Hardly 10 to 15 students get placements out of 75 students. No company does try to come in this forest land and do a favour to the job aspirants. The best years for campus recruitment were academic years 2010-13 when almost 40 students out of 70 used to be placed in every year.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good labs, well maintained instruments and infrastructure.

Placements: The placements are not conducted to the students of our batch but our seniors were placed in campus placements during their final year. Infosys visited for campus placements and hired 10 to 12 students at a time from Electronics and telecommunication branch in our senior batch. The salary offered by them was 4.5 LPA. The other companies visited the college to recruit students from mechanical and computer engineering branch.

Autonomous institution makes it unique from others.

Placements: The placements for the students of the chemical department are average. Certain chemical companies like JSW, techno force, supreme petrochemicals, Sudarshan Chemicals, and Zuari agrochemicals came for the placement. The highest package offered is 6.5 by JSW. The average package is 3.5 LPA. The percentage of the students placed is about 10% as the scenario is very poor for all departments.

Pursuing engineering in this college gives you ample time for post-graduation.

Placements: The placement for chemical engineering is fine. 5-6 students often get placed every year. The other students have to try in off-campus. There are a lot of chemical companies in the area near the college. The companies like Infosys, Rajasthan Transformation, JSW, Supreme, Torrent Electric came for placement in the previous year. The average package offered is 3.5 LPA and the highest package till now is 6.5 by JSW.

Autonomous institution and easy for graduation

Placements: The placements for my branch was really good and for the seniors before 3 years. But the graph became decreasing during my tenure, and I'm completing my engineering now. The company's like Infosys, Persistent, JSW, cognizant came at that time. The average package offered was 3.5. But now, placement condition is really poor. The students have to try hard in off-campus drives. No internship is available for the students.

Only has good infrastructure with no placement and non-developing environment

Placements: When it comes to placements, my college is very inactive in it. There is only one TNPC cell working for placement of all branches and their efforts are hardly countable. As long as I recall, whoever is placed from BATU is from off-campus drives. TCS used to visit my college but due to poor communication skills, they stopped coming here. But I think their reason is not sufficient or clear enough. The students in my college are technically soft and have the ability to overcome their challenges. Wh...

The college area is worst for the sports and you cannot gain personality development in the college.

Placements: The placements are quite good. Out of 70 students, in all the departments, only 5-7 students get placed every year. The placement scenario was really good before 2015. The statistics got down after that year. The companies like Accenture, Cognizant, Supreme, Mids came every year for the placements. The training is compulsory for the students so that they will get industrial exposure. The highest package offered was 6.5 lakhs per annum.

Review of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Raigad.

Placements: About 10-15% of the students are placed in our branch, and about 20% of the students go for external interviews, remaining students go to for exams like GATE, GRE, MPSC, and UPSC. The special training and placement office is available for the students. We hope, the percentage of the placements will increase every year. There is only one student from the third-year and one from the fourth-year, they both take the responsibility to invite the companies.
