Got 98 Percentile in JEE Main 2025; which college and branch (CSE, ME, CE, EE, ECE) you may get? After scoring good marks on an exam like JEE Main, the most common question in every student’s mind is which college I will get based on my NTA score or JEE Main percentile.

Before telling students about the colleges and streams they may get based on their JEE Main score, students must not be confused about the NTA Score and JEE Main percentile. They must keep in mind that there is no difference between the NTA Score and JEE Main percentile. The JEE Main 2025 scorecard will contain the subject-wise and aggregated NTA score/percentile obtained by a candidate in the exam. These percentile scores are called the NTA Score.

Q:   What is the cutoff for BTech at NIT Andhra Pradesh for OBC category?

A:

NIT Andhra Pradesh BTech cutoff 2024 for BTech courses ranged between 25704 and 91199 for OBC category. Wherein, the most competitive course was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering and the least competitive course was BTech in Biotechnology. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Main, the last cutoffs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Q:   Can I get NIT with 95 percentile in JEE Main?

A:

It is possible for you to secure a seat in an NIT (National Institute of Technology), although it may not guarantee your preferred branch or institute. If your percentile is above 96, your chances of getting into a respectable NIT increases, but you may need to compromise on your branch selection. However, if you aim for a decent NIT with a preferred branch in the core field, you would need to score above 97.5%. On the other hand, if your goal is to get admission to a top college with the CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) branch, your score would need to be higher than 99.4%.

Q:   How to calculate percentile in JEE?

A:

NTA uses a formula to calculate NTA score in JEE Main. The formula used is

JEE-Main-NTA-Score-Formula

Q:   How much is 120 marks in JEE Mains percentile?

A:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the JEE Mains result 2025 in the form of percentile scores. Candidates can check here the JEE Main 2025 marks vs percentile data to understand the 120 marks in JEE Main percentile.

As per the last year JEE Main marks vs percentile analysis, 120 marks would be around 95 to 97 percentile. However, the exact JEE Main 2025 percentile marks 120 would vary depending upon the highest number scored by the candidate in a particula shift and the total number candidates appeared in that particular shift. More details about JEE Main marks vs percentile vs rank can be checked to understand in details.

Q:   Is the NTA percentile score and percentage same?

A:
Percentage and percentile are not the same. A percentage is a number out of 100 whereas the percentile score is based on the relative performance of all the aspirants appearing in the exam. The Percentile Score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below that particular Percentile in that examination.

And PWD students get 5% seat reservations so the chances are high.

With this mark you may not get admission in top NIT but sure will get in lower level NIT.
