If you have good friends company then you'll enjoy.
Placements: Our batch is 2023-2027. There are 59 students in my class and half of them are paid seats whereas half class has normal seats. There are no salary packages offered in our college but we can give competitive exams. Range officer is the top role offered in this course but we can give other government job exams too like HAS and banking.
Infrastructure: Students are provided with every facility for smooth study as there is a library with a very good study environment. Even in classrooms, there are smartboards and air-conditioners for a comfortable experience. I am not a hostler but I have friends who tell me that hostel food is very nice and hygienic. There is breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner with food variety available. Ambulance service is available. We can play as much as we want as there is one open playground for everyone.
Faculty: Well, almost all teachers are Ph.D. qualified. There are senior professors, assistant professors, and guest faculty members too both theoretical and practical knowledge provided as teachers take students for field visits. Course curriculum is relevant. Even after the new education policy there is a slight change in syllabus. Exams are not very difficult, to be honest, if we read the whole syllabus properly then we can easily pass the exam. Passing percentage is 50%.
Other: I chose this course because this will help me to know more about our state and environment which will definitely help me in future competitive exams. There are nearly 50 courses we study in the whole B.Sc. At the start of semester, there is a freshers function and in the other semester of the year there is a college fest, Meanwhile, there are many little functions organized. Cultural fest and sports meet are also organized every year and students from all colleges take part and the best ones get prize money too.

Overall, it's a good college, if infrastructure is neglected.
Placements: The first batch of this course in our university didn't pass out yet, so I can't say about placements. From the main campus, the placement rate is good. All the students are provided with adviser, and under their advisory, any individual can fulfill his dream of becoming whatever he/she want to become.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not much mesmerizing, it's just below average. The faculty members are awesome, and your overall experience will be fine. This branch of Dr. Y. S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni Solan, was established in the year 2018, and right now, we don't have our own infrastructure, but PRTI, Thunag, has given some of their buildings to us.
Faculty: The faculty members are young and energetic. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The course is of 4 years (8 semesters). We have 8-10 subjects per semester. Every semester, we have mid-term exams, practical exams and end-semester exams.

I am dissatisfied with faculty members, curriculum etc. Friends are the only support system.
Placements: Our college provides low placements. It has a wonderful natural environment but not the same in the case of studies. Involvement of politics in the education stream has lowered the standards of education, Introduction of courses has narrowed the education quality, and the knowledge is confined to these offered courses.
Infrastructure: Old hostels are great, but the new ones are just extended cubicles. Monkeys enter the hostel, and there are leaking ceilings, acoustic ceilings which raises a question on one's privacy. Overall a below-average experience. It's impossible to study in hostels. One may do anything except to study.
Faculty: Teachers of our college are mostly awful, except a few. Course curriculum in worthless since there are almost no placements and some subjects are just pointless and wastage of time. Teachers are more into political discussions. Students are acquainted with more of theoretical knowledge rather than practical part.
Other: I opted this course because I am from a horticulture background. I wanted to enhance my knowledge in this field regarding various techniques and production technologies available.

Satisfactory surroundings of college.
Placements: Almost 1,800 is the strength of students in our college. College placements are good and around 60% of students secured internships. Placement rate is good enough.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is well. Classrooms, library, and lab facilities are available for every course. Medical facilities, sports complex, and ground are available. All hostel facilities are available. Food in canteen and mess is good. A cafeteria is provided and a canteen is also on campus. Study facilities are pretty good, surroundings of college are not very good. Uniforms are compulsory, Wi-Fi facilities are not for students.
Faculty: Some teachers are very good and helpful, and the teaching faculty is good. Semester exams are average and not very difficult. Course curriculum is relevant and it provides basic information also and content for competitive exams. It makes students industry-ready but not completely.

Q:   Can students with a minimum cutoff for B Tech get a seat at Dr. Y. S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry?

A:

Candidates' performance in the 10+2 exam is the main factor used to determine their admission to the Dr. Y. S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry's B.Tech (Biotechnology) program. To be eligible, students must take Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.

Usually, the admission cut-off is in the neighborhood of 30 out of 50. It's crucial to remember that the cutoff may change from year to year based on a variety of variables, including the volume of applications, the number of seats available, and the exam's difficulty level. Prospective students should familiarize themselves with the most recent information supplied by the university.Certain seats are reserved by some universities for students who only fulfill the minimal requirements.

However, since merit ranks are typically given priority, meeting the absolute minimum cutoffs might not guarantee a seat, particularly in popular programs.
Apart from academic scores, residence requirements can affect eligibility and admission chances for state agricultural universities such as Dr YSP UHF. In summary, the competitive merit ranks of a given year would determine an applicant's actual chances of admission, even though minimum cutoffs might make one eligible to apply.
