The GATE 2025 registration process with late fee is closed now for admission to the MTech course. The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.
Here are some additional updates regarding the Gujarat Technological University:
- CMAT 2025 registrations are going on for admission to the MBA, PGDM, and MMS courses; the last date to apply has been extended to Dec 25, 2024. The CMAT 2025 exam will be held on Jan 25, 2025.
- The GPAT registration window 2025 for admission to the MPharma course will be opened in Apr 2025.
- The GUJCET application form 2025 for admission to the BTech and BPharma courses will be released on Jan 25, 2025. As per the schedule, the GUJCET 2025 exam date is Mar 23, 2025.
- The CAT 2024 result has been declared for admission to the MBA/PGDM courses. Candidates can log in and download their scorecards on the official website.
- JEE Main 2025 Session 1 registration has closed for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses. The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam is scheduled to be held from Jan 22 to Jan 31, 2025.

Best ever college for me .
Placements: Placement cells are average. Around 50 percent of students got placement last year, with the highest package of 20 lakhs, an average of 6 lakhs, and the lowest of 3 lakhs. Google, Jio, Myntra, Maruti, Tata, FunFood, etc. recruit from here. Yes, students can do internships of their own will.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is also average with neat and clean areas. Wi-Fi is available all around the campus, labs, classrooms, and big library with important books, and multiple grounds and courts to play. The facilities of the hostel are good and cheap. The quality of food is like home food.
Faculty: The semester exam is not easy to pass. Students have to study all across the course. A minimum of 40 percent is required for passing. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, and it focuses on improving skills. The teacher is very helpful and kind towards students. They clear all the doubts.

Placements: Almost 100% of students got placed from our course. The highest salary package offered is 30 LPA which is grabbed by one of students from our course. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA and the average salary package offered is 8 LPA. Recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, and many more. Internship is secured by every student in our college in their respective companies. Software engineer is the top role offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very poor in our department. There are PCs which are not working. Our college is Wi-Fi enabled but this facility is only for faculty members not for students. Labs are not cleaned. Library of our college is well-maintained. The quality of food is the worst we have ever tasted. Sports equipment is there but not all equipments are available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality of some teachers is very good, while other teachers are very poor. Course curriculum makes students industry-ready, but if student has the ability. Exams are average in our college. All students can clear the exam.

After all, if you are a person who is easy.
Placements: My batch has a total of 90 students when I was admitted to this university. The highest package of 50+ LPA has been mentioned in the uni prospectus. Well, the internship has been very less provided , and yes, the placements too.
Companies like TCS , Google, IBM , and many more are seen.
Infrastructure: Every facility seems pretty decent and I have no complaints regarding it. Everything works perfectly fine for me in the uni premises. Hostel rooms have a total capacity of 5 people per room allotment and yes it is very good , no problem at my end.
Faculty: Not gonna lie , teachers are not okay. I can't cope up with them. The only concern of the college is that yes, the teachers are very helpful if any problem arises. You can always reach out to them. They will help you. The semester exams are just a piece of cake. It’s very easy.
Other: Lots and lots of events happening in the uni. No doubt

A college with basic facilities, an outdated curriculum, and limited opportunities.
Placements: In the B.Pharma course, the placement rate is relatively low with only about 8-10% of students secure jobs through campus placement. The highest salary package offered is around 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Companies who visit for recruitment are primarily local pharmaceutical firms. They hire only 2-3 students at a time. Internship opportunities are vertically nonexistent. No formal internship program is provided by the college, students are expected to find internships independently. Roles offered to students who are selected are medical representative and product executive. Unfortunately, our college doesn't have a strong focus on career development, making it challenging for students to secure meaningful positions in the industry.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is basic. Classrooms lack proper ventilation. There is no Wi-Fi. Our labs are outdated with non-functional equipment. The library has books only up to the 2017-2018 edition. Hostel rooms are shared by 12 students with basic amenities while separate accommodation costs 3,00,000 per annum. The mess provides average quality food, mostly sweet dishes with a daily changing menu. Non-vegetarian food is not provided. Sports and games are available for timepass. No professional support is provided.
Faculty: Our faculty members are average. There are only a few good professors. Others need to respect students. The curriculum is poorly structured, burrowed from another university, and lacks industry relevance. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The passing largely depends on self-study due to limited institutional support.
Other: I chose B.Pharma for its potential in healthcare and health teaching. The course offers foundation knowledge. Our college needs better labs, an updated curriculum, and practical exposure. Campus life is dull with no major events. They only do orientation for freshers and Swaminarayan celebrations. The connectivity is decent, but surroundings are quiet with limited extra activities.

My four years journey to GEC, Bhuj.
Placements: Government Engineering College has provided overall good placements in the chemical department, during the last academic year. Around 30-35 students got placed in companies like Agrocel, Zydus, STC, Kutch Chemicals, etc. Students from the civil and electrical branches also secured placements in some reputed companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is pretty old and was inaugurated by our honorable Chief Minister of that time, Narendra Modi Ji. College has 3 boys' hostels and 1 girls' hostel within the campus. College is surrounded by valleys and mountains, giving a great view of beautiful scenarios from the hostel terrace.
Faculty: We are lucky because we have some of the most experienced and helpful professors. There is a shortage of teaching staff in other branches. The chemical engineering department still has top-notch faculty members. Faculty members are ready to help students every time. Even the non-teaching staff is kind and wholeheartedly welcomes the students for any help.
Other: I took admission in the Chemical Engineering branch at GEC Bhuj through ACPC. I have never regretted my decision. Coming from a middle-class family, the government has provided me along with thousands of others like me, a good opportunity to complete our education without any hassle. The fee structure is very good. I paid only Rs. 12,000 for four years of my course and Rs. 1,200 per semester as hostel fees, which is much less compared to other colleges offering similar facilities and quality of education.

It's not bad but there are better options.
Placements: College itself doesn't offer placement but it sponser it's students to Gujarat University which does the placement and if you're good in academics then you have higher chances getting selected for process. In 2023, the highest package offered was 22lacs per annum. Average package was 4.5 lacs per annum and the lowest package offered was 1.5 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Phones are not allowed in college so thus no Wi-Fi. Classrooms are big to fit majority of students. There is computer lab for students and there is no library in college unfortunate. College itself doesn't offer hostel facility so you have to find room or PG around the area and you'll find many of them.
Faculty: Faculty is well trained and experienced and you can ask many times as you want if you don't understand something they'll be there to help. The course itself doesn't make students industry ready because its mostly theoretical and in real world you have to implement it in practical manner. Exams are not actually so difficult and passing marks are 18 out of 50.
Other: I was always interested in management so that's why this course was perfect for me. I feel like the course should be more practical than theoretical that's the downside of it. College offers scholarship opportunities to students and holds many types of festivals.
