A:

Is B.E./B.Tech at SAL worth the investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

Pros:

* Good placement record: Most students (around 60-90%) reported getting placed in reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Byju's, and Wipro, with an average salary package ranging from INR2.5 LPA to INR6 LPA.
* Industry-ready curriculum: The course curriculum is designed to prepare students for the industry, making them employable upon graduation.
* Supportive faculty: Many reviewers praised the faculty members, describing them as helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced.
* Good infrastructure: Although not exceptional, the infrastructure, including classrooms, labs, and campus facilities, is considered satisfactory.
* Extracurricular activities: The college hosts various events, festivals, and sports competitions, providing students with a well-rounded experience.

Cons:

* Limited hostel facilities: Not all students may find accommodations within the campus, requiring external arrangements.
* Slow Wi-Fi speeds: A few reviewers mentioned that the Wi-Fi connectivity in labs could be improved.
* Unhelpful faculty in some cases: A minority of students felt that some faculty members lacked enthusiasm and didn't provide adequate support.

Conclusion:
While B.E/B.Tech at SAL Institute might not offer exceptional infrastructure or state-of-the-art amenities, its strong placement record, industry-ready curriculum, and supportive faculty make it a worthwhile investment for aspiring engineers. However, students should weigh these advantages against potential limitations like limited hostel facilities and slow Wi-Fi speeds.

Note: Individual responses may vary depending on personal preferences, academic backgrounds, and expectations. These findings are based on aggregated reviews and should not be taken as a guarantee of success.

{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Course Curriculum

* The course curriculum at SAL is structured according to the Gujarat Technological University (GTU) syllabus.

* The course includes both theoretical and practical components, making students industry-ready.
* The curriculum covers various subjects, including mathematics, science, and technology.
* Some faculty members stated that the course curriculum could be improved by incorporating newer technologies and updating the curriculum regularly.
* According to some students, the course curriculum does not make them completely prepared for the industry, but it provides a solid foundation.

Practical Implementation

* Some faculty members emphasized the importance of practical implementation, stating that students need to learn everything on their own.
* Others mentioned that the curriculum focuses on theory, and students must supplement their learning with self-study and projects.
* However, others praised the relevance of the course curriculum, stating that it prepares students for real-world scenarios.

Industry Readiness

* Some students felt that the course curriculum does not make them entirely industry-ready, citing limited practical exposure.
* Others believed that the curriculum prepares students adequately for the industry, providing them with necessary skills and knowledge.
* Despite these differences, most students agreed that the course curriculum is relevant and sets them up for success in their careers.

Our College Is Very Good for Study Purpose and Technology Side Also.
Placements: The placement is best in SAL Education. The average placement is 600,000 per year. The companies are Byju's, Zydus, ABP News, TCS, GTPL, MVP, IBM, Amazon, L&T, and Alpha 9 Marine Services. SAL College of Engineering offers placement support to its students. The college aims to develop creative thinkers and produce leaders with global views and Indian ethos.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but our college does not have hostel facilities. It has a big ground where students play football. The infrastructure is pretty good, not very good, but kind of average. Regular activities are done by college students.
Faculty: There are very good faculty members in our college. Exams are conducted by Gujarat Technological University. SAL Education is Gujarat Technological University affiliated. Per semester, one exam is conducted by GTU. In SAL Education, the college conducts mid-sem exams.
Other: Best Campus and Best faculty members.

Our faculty is the best, good placement in 2020.
Placements: 75% of our course's students were placed, and the highest package was 12 lakhs. 70% of the students got internships through our course.
Infrastructure: Our college does not have a hostel. Students live in other hostels, PGs, or their homes, depending on their comfort level and their financial situation.
Faculty: The teachers are very talented, helpful, and highly qualified. However, the semester exams are very difficult, and the passing percentage is only 30%. As a result, none of us were able to pass, and we all failed.

2Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Placements and infrastructure are disappointing but the curriculum and faculty are good.
Placements: The amount of students getting placement seems to be low. The highest package was around 15 Lacs p.a. and the lowest 2-3 Lacs p.a., average being around 6 Lacs p.a. Mercedes was a recruiter last year, bringing the highest package. Honestly, only a few students get internships in this course. After graduation, mechanical engineering offers many possibilities including Aerospace engineer, automotive engineer, and many more, landing high-paying jobs in various companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. The classrooms are well-designed. But it only has one library which might get crowded sometimes. There is only one canteen available, hence it gets really overcrowded during lunch hours. Network is a big issue and there is no Wi-Fi available on campus. Labs are also average since all the necessary instruments and machinery are present but it's outdated. The hotel is not bad, the rooms are spacious and the mess's food is not that good. The college does offer sports but it's really limited.
Faculty: The teachers are good. They are qualified and really helpful. However, I personally don't like their teaching style, lectures seem really dull. The course is affiliated with GTU so it is relevant. It has all the necessary basic materials to make a student industry-ready. The exams are difficult and the passing marks are 40%.
Other: I was always passionate about machinery since a young age which led me to choose mechanical engineering. The course is really complicated. It needs to be revised and some of the things need to be removed. The college does host fests often.

The experience of SAL Education.
Placements: Admission to our college is open to students who score an average percentage between 65-75%. The average salary package offered by our college is between 4 and 9 LPA. Students who score a CGPA of 8 to 9 are easily recruited by the companies that come for placement.
Infrastructure: The canteen food was not so good. In every semester, our college held a sports program in which interested students could participate. Most of the festivals were celebrated in our college, like Uttarayan and Navratri. For Navratri, there was a garba program held on our campus for two days.
Faculty: The faculty members explained the material in detail and in a practical way that made it easy for students to understand. The semester exams were not difficult for students who had studied at least 2-3 months before the exam, and students who failed the midterm exam could retake it within 10 days of the shortest course offered by the faculty.
Other: I chose this course because it covers a wide range of topics that are in high demand by employers. When companies come for placement interviews for IT positions, they also consider students from the ICT department. And when companies in the communications field come for placement interviews, they also select students from our department. Another attractive feature of this course is that it includes training in cybersecurity, Python, and Java.

Good placement opportunity.
Placements: Our college has a good reputation for getting its graduates placed for internships. Many companies recruit from our college. The highest package offered on campus in 2022 was 13 LPA, the lowest was 3.5 LPA, and the average package was 5.5 LPA. Students with a CGPA of 8 or above are eligible for internship placement opportunities. The top roles offered are in full stack web development, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, and data analytics. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, HCl, Mahindra Teach, and others.
Infrastructure: The auditorium at my college is very large and has a lot of seating. The college provides Wi-Fi, but it doesn't always work. The labs, classrooms, and library are neat and clean. The library provides books for free if we have a college ID card. The hostel is not on campus, and the canteen is very bad and expensive. Our college is number one in Ahmedabad for sports and games. The college also provides medical facilities because the nearest hospital is the college's SAL hospital.
Faculty: The faculty guides us on how to prepare for both the mid-semester and end-semester exams. The passing criteria for the mid-semester exam is 30 out of 12 marks, and the passing criteria for the end-semester exam is 70 out of 23 marks. With the guidance of my faculty, I am not depressed about the exams.
Other: The college conducts many events, festivals, and activities for students. They also have a good campus crowd. I chose computer engineering because it is a very demanding course in the Indian IT sector market. Artificial intelligence is the best thing about my course. However, the college canteen needs to improve the quality of its food and lower its prices. Also, the college does not provide scholarships.

Good campus but not for studies.
Placements: So we have a total of 120 students in our course from one college. The highest package is 13 lacs per year and the average package is between 5 and 6 lacs. Recruiting companies like TCS and others. So I do not know about the internship, which took some time to get me in last year.
Infrastructure: So we have WiFi and a classroom, and the strength of the classroom is nearly 100. We also have libraries, but not many books are available labs are medium, and there are not many instruments. So we do not have any hostels from college and in the canteen, food is not very good and we have sports and games like chess, carrom, volleyball, and basketball.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful and many of them have completed their Masters and some of them do PhDs. So yes, some of the course is relevant but not much for preparing for industries. So semester exams are a bit difficult but not much. Passing marks are 23 from 70 in the end exam and 12 from 30 in the mid exam.
Other: I chose this course because I like math and I love computers, and the best thing is you have to do practicals. So we have sports day and many other days like signature day, Bollywood day, carnival fests, and Navratri.
