• SC/ ST/ OBC/ Physically Handicapped aspirants can also apply with 50% or 5.01 CGPA or Grade B in bachelor's in Engineering or Technology.

Yes, HPU is good for B.Ed. The admission shall be made on the basis of Academic Merit. Himachal Pradesh University Shimla conducts an entrance exam for B.Ed admission. The minimum qualifying marks in the entrance test is 35% (53 out of 150). That means, aspirants must get at least 53 questions correct for getting admission to B.Ed programme.

Himachal Pradesh University is recognised by UGC and NAAC. Also, HPU has a total of 7 institutes which include the Department of Evening Studies, HPU Business School, University Institute of Technology, HPU College of Business Studies, University Institute of Legal Studies, Institute of Tribal Studies, Institute of Vocational Studies. Since, it is a public state university, the programme fee is very less. 

Taking admission in HPU will also provide placement opportunities to students. The university conducts placement drive every year.
