Hindustan University Scholarship
HITS offers various scholarships to meritorious students and students belonging to SC/ ST/ EWS category. Recently, the institute also added scholarship schemes for the wards of Covid warriors. All Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science scholarship programmes are mentioned below:
- SC/ ST Scholarship Government of India: Candidates, who belong to Tamil Nadu and have completed Class 12, are eligible for this scholarship. The annual income of the parents should not exceed INR 1 LPA. The candidates should not be in receipt of another scholarship/assistance from other sources. The scholarship can be renewed every year.
- Merit cum Means Scholarship: The top scorers in Class 12 are awarded financial aid to pursue their higher studies in HITS. This scholarship is aimed at meritorious students from weaker sections.
- Sports Scholarship: It gives special importance to the students who have excelled in sports over the years under its Sports Quota.
- Dr Elizabeth Verghese Founder Scholarship: This scholarship has been instituted to empower girls with academic potential to pursue higher education and who are from lower-income families.
