Established in 2014, I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Dinanagar Campus (IKGPTU Dinanagar) was formerly known as Punjab Institute of Technology, Dinanagar. It has gained approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is one of the eight campuses that come under IKGPTU, including Kapurthala, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali, Khunimajra, Batala, and Bhikhiwind.
IKGPTU Dinanagar offers academic courses at UG level namely BTech, BTech (Lateral Entry) and BCA, through its Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Department of Computer Applications.

IKGPTU, Dinanagar Campus Admission Process
The application forms for IKGPTU Dinanagar admission 2020 are available in both online as well as offline modes. Admission to its UG programmes is subject to the following conditions:
- BTech: Candidates qualify for admission to this course based on a valid score in JEE Main 2020; followed by centralised counselling conducted by IKGPTU, on behalf of the Government of Punjab
- BCA: Admission to this course is entirely based on a candidate's marks in the previous qualifying exam i.e Class 12
