A very good college, but hostels are awful except the 1st year hostels.

Placements: Placements in the college are good. Well, our college is known for the best placements in India. But the average package offered to the students in my department is around 9 lacs per annum. Approximately 70% of the batch got placements, and others may go for higher studies or do other things like MBA, etc.

The college is good with good placements.

Placements: For the 2017-2018 batch, placements were good. Almost all the students got placed with good packages in good companies. The placement cell worked really hard for the placements of students. Pre-placement training sessions were conducted, and everything was taken care of. This year, not many good companies visited the campus for placements. Overall, the placements are good. The companies that visited the campus for placements offered good positions to placed students.

Placements: There is a separate body for both placements and internships. This is a teally helpful system as there is also significant student representation in these bodies. Placement salaries range from 5.5 lacs to a lucky two or three with 1.5 crores package. Even with this spread, the average is about 8-9 crores. Software based companies, consulting and finance firms, banks, core technical companies all come for placements. Non core, finance and consult jobs offer greater pay than core technical firms. ...
